    Excellent position in centre of Bruges, friendly staff, everywhere very clean. I was in a double room on the third floor overlooking the courtyard so it was quiet. No kettle in room but Wi-Fi was good, sufficient toiletries, lots of hot water in a very powerful shower.Breakfast was good with a broad choice of hot, cold, healthy and pastries. Coffee / hot chocolate machine with tasty coffee and a selection of syrups if needed. I’d happily return to this hotel

    Our room was clean and nice. The water didnt heat up for a while. Maybe it was a temporary problem.

    Really great hotel, very central and easy to get around from there as a base. Very comfortable beds, clean rooms that provide hairdryer, shower gel and soap plus a safe. There’s no tea or coffee making facilities in the room but that didn’t worry us too much and there is a Starbucks coffee machine in the main lobby to use. We slept really well though our room was a little lacking in natural daylight but again we were out exploring most of the day. The bar only opened on our second night but had a good selection of drinks and a friendly barman.The standout was the breakfast! Very comfortable breakfast room and such a big selection of food, hot options included excellent scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, beans etc, a fantastic yoghurt station with various toppings, lots of variety of bread, rolls, cheeses and pastries, there was also a pancake and waffle machine though we were so full we couldn’t manage those! Lovely coffee machine with lots of syrups which was a nice addition that you don’t see in many hotels! All round a 5 star breakfast and 5 stars for location and comfort… only dropped a star due to lack of tea/coffee/fridge in the room but we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

    I'm really surprised at all the rave reviews for this hotel. I will say that the location is great if you want to be in the center of Bruges, but the town is so small that it's not necessary to be right there. I guess if you like living like a monk, it's fine. No coffee or tea in the room. No water station in the hotel. That's right, no water unless you buy it. No amenities except soap, so bring your shampoo. If you go to Bruges because you want Starbucks coffee from a machine in the morning, then this is your place. Starbucks? And then the machine robs you. Dents in the wall. A seriously tiny, bland, room for a monk.We rented bikes from the hostel across the street and overheard the very nice proprietor explaining the amenities in the hostel rooms. Way more than the none you get at Martin's.Prices were comparable to Duke's Academie, where I've stayed before. No comparison. Wish I stayed there this time.I don't like writing bad reviews, but wish I had read one.

    Perfect location for visiting Bruges. Close by to everything.Hotel is basic but clean, fresh and some of the rooms are newly renovated.Probably not ideal for someone with mobility issues as there are many stairs, even when you take the elevator you might have to take the stairs.Really enjoy the stay!
