We checked out early and booked elsewhere

    rating16 Feb 2024

We booked a package mystery holiday and this was the hotel we were given. I read some reviews but hoped it would be better when we arrived. We got into the room and were greeted with an unpleasant smell. There was mould growing on the walls and the curtains were seethrough. It was late when we got back and the hotel was noisy. We decided to book another hotel as we did not want to get sick staying in a mouldy room. When we told the check in we were leaving early due to the mould and other things they did not seem shocked or offer compensation or another room. I can’t imagine we would have felt comfortable moving to another room regardless. Instead we went to Urban Yard hotel which I can recommend!

    Do not stay here

    rating15 Nov 2023

After travelling since the day before to get to Brussels, when we finally got to our hotel room desperate to rest, the overwhelming smell of damp greeted us as soon as we unlocked the door. The room was abysmal, to say the least, with damp, dust and dirty marks up every wall and all across the ceiling. The headboard looked like it had cigarette burns in it and the furnishing was just terrible, the bathroom being just as bad. My partner and I both have asthma, so damp is a massive issue for our health, so we requested another room to which we were told they could only offer us a twin room instead. Fine, can we see it first? And that room was not much better, with the added bonus of stained mattresses which I didn't think to look for in the first room. After half an hour of thinking, we chose to cut our losses and book a new (much nicer) hotel and check out, which the woman at reception did apologise for. Since coming back, we requested a refund through Expedia due to health issues (my asthma was terrible for the rest of the trip due to the bad damp) which, after days of chasing the hotel, was denied. I have stayed in some dumps, but this place absolutely took the cake. Do not stay here.

Hotel that will bend over backwards for you!!

When I first checked into the hotel, it gave me the impression that it was a dump. However, never go on first impressions in some of the hotels. they have changed my mind. I had trouble with the first room. They move me to a beautiful room and now I’m up in this awesome room with a view of the sky. I love it. I definitely recommend that the staff here has been outstanding when there was a problem they fixed it and I’m really very thrilled to be here.

    Beware

    rating14 Dec 2022

To all family or couples thinking about staying at this hotel beware that this hotel has a blonde hair prostitue living in the GF of this hotel and from evening she’ll start finding customer outside or in the lobby of this hotel specially single men by insisting for a massage. Be aware of her. As of the hotel its good for the price but the prostitute makes the hotel image looks bad.

Avoid this nightmare at all costs, worst place in 19 years of travel!!!

If I could give minus numbers I would. I arrived on Monday and to say it looked shabby is an understatement. I booked a double room but most rooms are hostel dorms with smelly builders shoes left in the hallway. The carpets are stained throughout the building and fire doors are left open so either the builders or staff can smoke on outside roof terraces. From my 3rd floor window I can see vodka bottles and beer cans strewn not only across the roof terrace but also along the roofs of neighbouring properties. But the real issue is the heating. It doesn't work and hasn't since I arrived. I went the first evening and was lied to and told the boiler came on when the temperature drops below a certain amount (I was already freezing). The next day I told them it never came on and they said it was broken and gave me an extra blanket. The next morning it still wasn't fixed and the cleaner took my extra blanket. I spoke to booking.com and the hotel about refunding my last 2 nights so I could go somewhere safe, warm and liveable but both booking.com and the hotel played for time. Booking.com kept saying they needed the hotels permission and the hotel kept saying it was for booking.com. I told hotel reception that then they changed the story to needing the manager to approve but he wasn't answering. After my refusal to leave reception suddenly the receptionist was able to hear back from the manager and I spoke to the unpleasant man. He was arrogant, rude and unsympathetic to his hotel not being legally compliant or safe and refused a refund. He offered a 8 by 8 inch electric heater to warm a 25/30 square meter room as a solution. This place is not fit for human habitation and at €65 a night it isn't the cheapest place either. If you don't want to become a human popsicle avoid at all costs.
