  Five Stars – A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Aqua By HappyCulture!

  We had a fantastic two-night stay at Hotel Aqua By HappyCulture in Brussels and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.Our flight was delayed, so we didn’t arrive until around 2am. Thankfully, the reception is open 24/7 and we were warmly welcomed by Vincent at the front desk. He was incredibly kind and helpful, and even upgraded our room as a thoughtful gesture after our long, tiring travel day. Thank you, Vincent - your kindness truly made a difference and set the tone for our stay.The hotel is in a great location. We used the city’s electric scooters to get around (which we loved!), and it was only about an 8 minute ride to Grand Place. Super convenient!The room itself was spotless, comfortable, had air-con and full of thoughtful extras - robes, slippers, tea, coffee, sweets, chocolates, shower gel, shampoo, and even toothbrushes. The shower was powerful and perfectly hot, and the windows had great shutters that blocked out light, making it easy to get a restful night’s sleep. We also appreciated how quiet it was at night.Downstairs in the foyer, there’s a free coffee machine along with jars of sweets – the foam bananas and Smurfs were our favourites! There’s also free filtered water and glass bottles you can take to your room, where you’ll find a mini fridge to keep them cool.All the staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. On our final day, we had an evening flight and the hotel stored our luggage securely while we made the most of our last hours in the city.While we didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel (we’re not big breakfast eaters), the breakfast area looked as lovely and clean as the rest of the hotel.In short, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Comfortable, welcoming, well-located, and full of little details that made our stay extra special. Highly recommend!   On arrival appeared like a hostel. However once in at reception we were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Pleasant surprise with provision of complimentary cake, cookies, fruit and sweets, together with hot drinks and water. Rooms in basement floor with air con and pretty quiet. Although we had two rooms only one had a fridge in. We didn't mention during our visit as it wasn't a problem. It was avoid half hour plus walk into Grand Place from the hotel and uphill in places on way back. Shops and Mcds round corner from hotel if you want. Although parts of areas surrounding hotel looked run down and bit dodgy, we felt safe and didn't see or hear any issues. Overall a good stay with decent bed, clean, small bathroom and reasonably priced.   Avoid this hotel. Disappointing Stay So Far!

  Though our stay at Hotel Aqua is not yet over, the experience has been underwhelming. I believe the rooms are small for the rate, and service has proven inconsistent. We were initially welcomed greeted by a courteous evening staff member, but this was followed by two days of receptionists more inclined to argue than assist—turning trivial matters, like reactivating a room card, into unnecessary confrontations.There’s a surprising lack of professionalism and a tendency to challenge rather than support guests. Unless there is a notable shift, I cannot recommend this hotel.   The place was very dirty. I have waited for the check in until 5 pm. Terrible breakfast. No english at the reception. Someone even stole my sunglasses in the room. Terrible experience.   We were impressed as soon as we entered reception. It always smelled so fresh.An extremely warm and friendly reception with everything explained clearly. All reception staff were welcoming and cheerful.The room was clean and extremely comfortable. We both slept well every night.Highly recommended and thank you to everyone for an enjoyable stay.
