    Cherry on the cake!

    rating18 Jan 2025

Our stay at Hotel Chambord was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Our Junior Suite were spacious and clean, with amazing views from the Terrace especially on New Year Eve fireworks display at the Brussels city was the Cherry on the cake. Breakfast choices were great too. The hotel’s prime location made exploring the city a breeze. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience in Brussels.

Small, stuffy rooms, but the smell was the worst.

    rating11 Dec 2024

An ancient lift drags you slowly up to your room on the 7th floor, which is small and hot. Opening the window doesn't help much: even in December the room stays stuffy and warm. But leaving the window wide open was also necessary to try to disperse the appalling smell of drains and sewers that seemed to be coming from the bathroom but filled the whole room, even with the bathroom door closed. The smell was so bad on the second night that I reported it to the reception desk, who replied that the maintenance staff had left for the day and there were no free rooms to move me to. So I tried to sleep through the smell, but it wasn't really possible. Good points: everything looked clean, even if it didn't smell good; the wifi was fast and reliable (the problems noted in older reviews seem to have been fixed); adequate, if not hugely exciting, breakfast; the location is excellent, just metres from Naamsepoort metro station and a pleasant walk to the city centre.

    A dated dump!

    rating21 Nov 2024

Location great but the rest just no! The photos of the rooms were clearly taken over 25 years ago and have not been updated since. Rooms are tatty and old and furniture and paintwork damaged and stained. But worse the rooms might have a window but it looks at a wall giving the effect of being in a cell! On complaining to front desk we were told this was a good room / beware then it could be worse. Breakfast basic at best.
