Why I chose it: I wanted a hotel that was in the heart of Brussels, so that I could walk to all the attractions, the hop-on/hop-off sightseeing bus, and the tour buses for tours outside of Amsterdam. It also needed to have air-conditioning and not be too expensive. This hotel met all the criteria. Just know what you are getting into and look at all the pictures and details before you book it. There is no breakfast and the rooms are small, but you are in the heart of Brussels in a newer hotel with A/C, so there is a bit of a trade off. The room: Small like I said. No view. Hotel is down a quiet side street, so the only occasional noise I heard was from other guests due to the thin walls. I could hear my neighbor flush their toilet, take a shower, even move in their shower. Water took a long time to get hot in the sink, but was hot right away in the shower. Sign by thermostat says that the A/C turns itself off 9am to 6pm after an hour cause it’s on a timer. Sign also says that from 6pm-9am it runs constantly and won’t turn off, but mine did turn off constantly thru the night and I had to keep getting up to turn it on, which was super annoying. One time I got up to turn it on and reached for my flashlight so that I wouldn’t have to turn the room lights on, and I spilled a giant cup of water all over the place, so that was fun to cleanup at 3am. When you look over and the green light is off, the A/C is off. Also, your room will not be cleaned every day. You are supposed to dispose of your own trash in a big trashcan by the elevators if your small room trashcans are overflowing due to the lack of cleaning of your room. Tiny TV, but I never turned it on. No hoods allowed, see leave your hoodie at home I guess?I liked the free water refills on lobby. Saves you having to constantly buy bottled water. Overall, if you can overlook the small rooms and other issues, it’s a good value.

    Worst travel experience

    rating02 May 2025

Terrible hotel. I checked in room 515 on 04-APR-2025. I found the room is dirty. There was rubbish in the bin inside toilet. It seemed to be the hygiene personal product of women with blood on it.When my wife found the problem in the bathroom, I went downstairs and complained to the reception staff and requested the staff to change the room for us, he replied that the hotel was full in 04-APR-2025 night and could not change the room for us. For compensation, he proposed to extend our check-out time of the last day to 1:00 PM.After a discussion with my wife, we went to reception desk again. We requested the staff to arrange housekeeping immediately. The staff replied that there was no housekeeping service at night. He told us that we could only stay in the room for one night with the existing trash and wait for the housekeeping in the morning of the next day. We also said that what he could provide is a plastic bag to supersede the trash bin. He asked us for not opening the trash bin cover for whole night. We did not accept the proposal and asked for further compensation. The staff told us that there was no further compensation could be provided. He warned us that we could choose either:- accepting the room condition, staying in the room and waiting for housekeeping in the morning for one night, 3-hour extension of check-out time; or- leaving the hotel immediately, finding another hotel, claiming for refund afterward. The staff gave us two hours to find another hotel and make the final decision. We determined to change the hotel and told the staff our decision at around 9:00 PM.The staff requested us to send the photos of the trash via email as evidence for the refund. Then, the hotel replied me via email and denied everything. They blamed us that we did not seek the help from the front desk. The truth is that the hotel did not provide any help to us.We did not get any acceptable hotel service at that night, we even could not get any acceptable customer service from the hotel. Not recommended.Other disadvantages: Check-out time 10:00 am, no chiller in room, no hair dryer in room, need extra fee for luggage storage service…

    Great location

Why not. Easy Hotel. Before booking your room you should read all about what you can expect from this kind of hotel. At the reception the staff was very relaxed and helpful. The room was clean, but very small. Bathroom small but the shower was a good size. The bath towels were very worn and had a grayish color. No fridge, no safe, no hair dryer. This is a hotel that is good for a short stay. This hotel is very well located.

    Budget or not Budget beware!

    rating10 Sept 2024

I understand the concepts of easyHotel. However I paid €150 for a so called budget hotel. On top of that there are no water, or coffee or tea making facilities in the room. I had to buy from a machine at reception at it wasn’t cheap either. Going out for a coffee is cheaper. The room was ok but had basics. On checkout while other hotels offer 11-12 noon checkout. Their checkout is 10am. For luggage storage they charge €20. I needed my luggage stored for 3 hours as I had a meeting and my next hotel checkin was at 3pm. I was under the illusion of budget but I spent over €200+ for a budget hotel. Dissatisfaction with the service being charged for everything. easyHotel Brussels City Center, Guest Services / Front Office at ibis Brussels City Centre, responded to this review Dear,Thank you for your feedback, and we appreciate your understanding of the easyHotel concept. While our aim is to provide a budget-friendly stay with essential services, we understand your concerns regarding the additional costs. To clarify:Luggage storage is available at a rate of €5.Early check-in or late check-out is offered for €20.We do not offer in-room water, coffee, or tea-making facilities, as this helps keep room costs low. We provide vending machines in the reception for convenience, though prices may vary.Regarding the room rate, the price you paid aligns with the standard pricing for that day in Brussels. Higher-brand hotels would generally charge significantly more on those dates, making easyHotel a competitive option for budget-conscious travelers. We are sorry to hear that the costs exceeded your expectations. Your feedback is valuable, and we'll consider it as we continue to improve our services. Budget or not, we encourage travelers to always check the details of additional charges to ensure the stay aligns with their preferences.Best regards, easyHotel Brussels Team
