    This is a chain hotel located near a busy airport, has a lot of business customers and somewhat moderate prices. When booking, I expected to see a modern, up-to date building with good service and clean rooms. That is not the case. This hotel has has stinky, dark rooms, old and dirty furniture, nonexistent ventilation and/or sound insulation, very noisy and bad air conditioning/heating, some dust and dirt all over the place, broken doors, windows and ceilings and an overpriced little "shop" that offers potato chips and bewerages. The toilet/shower has been renovated, but everything else is from the 80's.There is warm water and the breakfast is good (compared to everything else) and there is a lot to choose from. I did not try the restaurant in the evening. The staff answers questions with a smile.     OK second time around

    We stayed here once before in a first floor room while en route to somewhere or other and didn’t have a good experience. This time around, the room was on a higher floor and more sensibly laid out. However, bedside lamps were thoughtlessly placed too close to the bed so that we kept knocking into them. Holiday Inn need to review who designs their rooms and maybe just copy the standard format that everyone else has been successfully using for years. The bathroom was nice and bright but it had a slippery-floored shower over an old bath. One other negative was a dirty towel but we were only stating one night so we could safely ditch it without needing a replacement. There was no hair drier and there was some aeroplane noise.Apart from those niggles, we liked the room. It was large and comfortable and so were the beds. Last time, a member of staff tried to rip us off at the bar. This time, the guy serving us was perfectly polite and efficient. We had to wait a while for dinner but that was because so many people had arrived that night. The meal itself was excellent. Breakfast was the usual weird continental mixture of cheese, cakes and unappealing sausages.     Nice, but waiting times bad

    Stunning rooms, super clean, really nice atmosphere and polite staff, but the restaurant only seemed to have two members of staff, one on the bar and one taking orders. service was so slow we waited nearly 2 hours for one pizza and a burger. Coach loads of people turning up and a really basic service was offered. Very expensive for what it was.     windows absolutely not acoustically insulated

    I stayed in this hotel on June 12th because i had an early flight the morning after at Brussels Airport. I stayed in a room facing the parking lot. The windows are absolutely not acoustically insulated. I heard air planes flying by, and could even hear birds singing. The sound is so clear and loud that I initially thought that the window was a bit open, and tried to close it, but i realised the window was already completely closed.So, the minimum requirement you expect in 2025 from a hotel very close to an airport ie well insulated windows is totally absent in this hotel.If you are sensitive to sound, if you want a full rest before a long flight, don't go to this hotel. I discussed this with a staff member while checking out, but they couldn't care less.     Stayed here overnight when travelling from Austria to UK. Excellent Hotel with a large clean room and comfortable beds. Both evening meal and breakfast were excellent with a good choice.
