  Me and my friend chose this hotel for its handy location. Unfortunately sexist and aggressive staff ruined any hope of a pleasant stay. I was forced to leave the premises after breaking no rules when I returned home one evening where I was shouted at and talked down to. The following night the same receptionist opened the door into my female friends room at 2AM to evict her in the middle of the night for being “disrespectful” and threatening to call the police. When we expressed our concerns to management via email, we were told the events we described never occurred (even though a majority of crude gestures and aggression from the receptionist in question were on CCTV in the lobby) and threatened us with legal action for “defamation and slander”. The treatment of me and my friend was completely uncalled for and is an absolute embarrassment not only from an obnoxious and aggressive receptionist, but incompetent management who refused to explore the issue further and accused us of fabricating lies. Furthermore, the grimy floor of the shower, uncomfortable beds and paper thin walls didn’t make up for the lack of customer service.

  I stayed in this hotel/hostel with my friend. We booked this for the fact that Hostelworld advertised it had washing machines and dryer in the place, The next night myself and my friend went out for drinks. I brought someone home. When my friend tried to come in then he was told that he was on drugs and could not go past the lobby. There was absolutely no drugs involved in this holiday if any there was weed and that was CBD not THC. The man at the desk, Raphael called the police on my friend. The police walked my friend to our room. When I asked what was happening the police started walking downstairs. I followed to ask at reception what the problem was because I didn’t understand. Raphael then started talking about how my friend was on drugs and it was a family place he had to go. He tried to kick us both out my friend left. I refused to leave because there was no drugs taken by my friend or I. Even the police left at this stage. I refused to leave without a refund and this man called the police again. While waiting on the police to arrive this man made some nasty comments and gestures about his dick and did some finger gestures at me. The police came again and I told them but they didn’t care. They told me it was between me and the hostel to sort out. Eventually I was allowed to finish my stay there. The next night I met my friend and we went for a drink. I was too upset to stay out so I went back to my hostel early. The same man was at the desk. Childishly as I walked passed I secretly stuck up my middle finger at him. Hours later when I was asleep in bed this man burst into my room with a plastic bag telling me to get my stuff and get out. He tried to put my stuff in his plastic bag and threatened me with the police again. At this point I thought it best that I leave considering he had made sexual comments and gestures towards me and could access my room at any time. We’ve been travelling all month and have had no issues anywhere else that we went. This feels like a dream I really don’t understand why this man didn’t like us so much. We kept to ourselves. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are a gay man or a woman.

  This is REALLY central and you get definitely more than you pay for!!Nice servis, ok, little bit small rooms BUT newly restored, clean and nice!Perfect for job stays!! Try it and you will stay there more times! ;)

  Good option if you want to stay close to centre and gare du Nord.

  The room was ready before the check-in time which gave us the chance to leave our stuff earlier. It was a neat and modern room but a bit small for 3 people. Good location though, close to GARE DU Nord for trains to Brugge and Gent. Walking distance from city centre.A bit noisy outside. Not soundproofing door room.

  Stayed for 2 nights when I went sight seeing.Good place to stay- small basic but clean room,window opens to the main street so lovely views at night, walkable to lots of siteseeing places, the receptionists were very helpful to point out places to check out and Also offer good options to help tourists siteseeing. Walkable distance from the Nord station, supermarkets, foodplaces.Overall am happy I picked this place to stay.
