Creepy dark rooms behind door 15

    rating25 Apr 2026

The location is great. The part of the hotel that serves breakfast is very nice. The rooms shown on the website are nice. Why are there no pictures of the creepy dark rooms behind door 15? I stayed in one of those rooms. I would not stay here again in case I got another one of those rooms.

Disappointing hotel & certainly not “boutique “!

    rating02 Jan 2026

Disappointed with what was meant to be a boutique hotel. The room very small, hotel entrance is very difficult to find . Central location however above the galleries shopping area so constant smell of waffles , pancakes & chocolates gets quite nauseating. There are no facilities and it feels more like you just paying for a room rather than staying in a hotel! Managed to leave our bags there as we were early, room was not available to 3pm on the dot as it was “being cleaned” which given the size and standard of cleaning not sure what took so long. There are far better hotels such as Novotel & Ibis in good area which looked far nicer. Not worth the boutique name or price.

Super loud hotel room with no A/C

    rating16 Sept 2025

We stayed here for five nights and it was a very disappointing hotel. The Good: This is located in a very convenient area and in the nice building of the Galeries, so the location is great. The size of the hotel room was very large. The Bad: There is no air conditioning, so the room can get very hot. Unfortunately, opening the windows at night is not a viable option. The noise echoes inside the Galeries building ALL NIGHT and is incredibly loud with people outside talking and yelling, so it it very hard if notimpossible to sleep. Closing the windows does make it quiet, but then the room gets hot.The room was in an annex building that was shared by other tenants. It was old but fairly decorated. The lighting in the room and the bathroom is terrible. Just a few very dim bulbs. With today's LED bulbs, better lighting should not be an issue. The dark hallways and entrances are not very comforting. I would not recommend for someone who might feel unsafe in the dark. The elevator was broken for a day and that meant climbing 3 flights of stairs each time. The hotel lobby does not have someone there 24/7 and you cannot access the lobby for help. You have to find the phone number (not given) to call someone for help.We have made many trips to Europe and have had pretty good experience with most of our hotel choices. Unfortunately, I would NOT recommendthis to anyone.

    Disappointing Stay Despite Great Location

    rating11 Aug 2025

This is, unfortunately, not a four-star hotel by any reasonable standard. While the location is undeniably central and convenient, I was disappointed to find that other nearby hotels I had considered, and assumed were less central, are just as well located and offer far more. This property has no amenities: no restaurant or food options, no gym or wellness facilities, and not even a fridge in the room. You’re essentially paying for a basic room, and even that feels past its prime. The hotel has clearly seen better days; it’s quite rundown in areas and cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The only saving grace was the lovely, helpful staff, who really did their best. But overall, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere, you can find much better value, quality, and comfort in the same central area.

Don’t go, it’s not like it looks on photos

    rating09 Aug 2025

Our visit was awful and full of fails. We had chosen this hotel because it looks fancy on the photos, had rooms with a bath and had a good rating. This was a mistake - for the same price we could have got a world chain hotel with spa, but we thought that it was a fancy boutique hotel and it should have been nice. No.What we got was: 1) the water tap in the bath was not working, so I needed to fill the bath by using the shower head which was very slow (as the water jet pressure was low). 2)there was actually a hole near the tap3)the tropical shower was also adjusted in a wrong way - too close to the wall, so you need to lean back to get under it4)we also noticed a hole on the carpet5)the breakfast was poor especially for this price (330 eur for 2 nights) - see the photo. There was nothing to take. I actually had seen such kind of breakfast only in hostels when I was a student, not in 4stars hotel. I thought: ok, I’d take musli if there is nothing else just to have calories for the day (I don’t usually take musli in hotels). But then I realised the milk is over and they didn’t refill it. And there was no one of the staff to call. I needed to go to a reception to ask for a milk. Then they finally brought the milk - there was so little milk! Not enough for 1 person (there were at least 2 of us + 3-4 other people).6)we stayed in Brussels and we expected waffles, at least some kind of them, for breakfast (it is actually common to have waffles for breakfast - even if you are not in Brussels - I had seen them in many other places). Guess what! No waffles, even croissants were so-so. And every day ONE slice of brie cheese.7)moreover, the last day we came to breakfast at 10:15 (it is until 10:30). At 10:32 we were finishing but the guy from the staff came to us and said that it is over and we need to hurry up (there was not actually a hurry in anything as we were sitting separately from the food tables, and NO ONE WAS CLEANING ANYTHING, so we didn’t disturb anyone). Also in all hotels it is ok to finish your meal, and no one runs to you 2 minutes after the breakfast is finished. By this time we were already quite frustrated by the hotel, so my husband decided to tell the guy that we were really disappointed with the hotel enough and we would like him at least not to rush. He only said “the breakfast is finished”. We asked the guy his name to file a report on him - he refused to tell his name saying “I don’t want to listen to this and will not tell anything”. So we only know that he was wearing glasses. And this was not the end. At 10:40 (so actually after the breakfast is finished) the other family got to the breakfast restaurant (so they were not finishing their breakfast, they just came). And the only thing they were asked “what is your room number?”. No “breakfast is finished”, nothing. I have here one question: your hotel discriminates some guests or what was it?
