This hotel has the very worst Internet service that I've seen in the past 30 years. Indigo Hotel basically have year 1995 Internet speed. Just aweful. I had to use my own cell phone service from Scandinavia to be able to work. No business traveler should ever stay at this hotel.

    Slipping standards

    rating11 Jun 2026

I stay in Indigo regularly and unfortunately have noticed the standards slipping. Recently I’ve regularly encountered blocked sinks or shower drains and the cleanliness is not where it should be - a cleaning cloth was in the bathroom of my room when I checked in and I left it on purpose on the bathroom floor to see if it’d be removed during the daily cleaning - it wasn’t. This is just one example. The staff upon check out seemed to be upset with me disturbing them. I was not greeted or asked how my stay way. The hotel has great decor and a very good location but the soft aspects need to be improved.

Nice hotel beware the local area

    rating08 Jun 2026

I really wanted to rate this hotel higher, and I am still giving it four stars because there were several things we genuinely liked about our stay. The hotel itself is very nice. It was clean, the staff was friendly for the most part, and the property has a unique and interesting atmosphere inside. The design and overall vibe of the hotel were definitely positives. That said, there were a few things that held the experience back. The surrounding area did not feel as comfortable in the evening as we had hoped, especially when walking between the hotel and Grand Place after dark with family. This is not the hotel’s fault, but it is something future guests may want to be aware of. During the day, the area was manageable, but at night it felt much less inviting. As for the room, the pricing felt high for the overall experience. The room temperature was also warmer than we would have liked. Even after adjusting the A/C, it never seemed to cool down very much, although it did at least blow some cool air. The bathroom was also quite small, and the light switches and room controls were more confusing than they needed to be, especially when trying to make sure devices were charging overnight.Even with those issues, I still liked the hotel overall. The property itself is clean, stylish, and pleasant, and the staff were generally kind. I just think the price is a bit high for the area, and the rooms would benefit from better temperature control and simpler room controls. Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Hotel Indigo Brussels - City By IHG, responded to this review Dear Matt,We appreciate your candid feedback; thank you. We’re glad you appreciated our hotel’s distinctive atmosphere and found our team welcoming during your stay. Our botanical-inspired design and commitment to cleanliness remain central to creating memorable experiences for our guests. However, we sincerely regret that some aspects of your visit fell short. While our location near Grand Place offers urban convenience, we understand evening walks may feel less comfortable for families. Regarding your room, our front desk team is always available to assist with climate control adjustments or clarify our intuitive room features. We’re heartened you still enjoyed your time with us overall. Our staff takes pride in maintaining the vibrant yet relaxing environment that makes Indigo Brussels - City unique. It would be a pleasure to welcome you back on a future occasion. Comfortable and convenient

    rating24 May 2026

I’ve just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel Indigo Brussels City - I booked a queen standard room, with a special offer that included breakfast, for around £170 per night. When looking at hotel options in the city, this seemed like good value for money, and IHG brands like Indigo tend to be consistent in good quality. Upon checking into my room, I did begin to wonder if £170 was a bit on the pricey side as the room was very small and unfortunately had an internal view of the fire escape stairs, which made the room feel a bit dark and pokey. That said, it was quiet, comfortable, clean and the decor was unique and fun without being tacky. Also, given the unprecedented 29 degree heat this weekend, I also appreciated that I could cool my hotel room to a comfortable temperature and the duvet wasn’t too thick, so I slept well and wasn’t too hot which can be an issue in hotels. I had breakfast in the hotel all 3 mornings and was really impressed with the variety and quality of the food and drink options. I especially liked the mini pancakes and the omelettes. The staff were friendly and were great at recognising when solo travellers like myself left their table to get another drink etc, vs having finished their breakfast and leaving the restaurant - it’s always a bit stressful when travelling alone and wondering if your table will be cleared before you’re ready if vacating it momentarily, but i didn’t have that problem here. Speaking of friendly staff, the colleagues on reception were more than happy to lend me a UK-EU plug converter, as I’d forgotten to bring mine, so this meant I didn’t have to worry about buying one and I could just return it at the end of my stay.As for the location, the hotel is conveniently located in the Rogier area, which is a 10 minute walk to Grand Place and the surrounding areas. It was also a bit less bustling and therefore quieter than the more central areas, especially given that the jazz festival was this weekend, and felt quite loud when close to it. I did sort of expect the area to be a bit nicer given the price, but Brussels is an expensive city afterall. Overall it felt safe, but there were a few undesirables loitering in the evenings outside the hotel which I expect is more spillover from those in the seedier areas near Noordstation up the road. I wouldn’t advise venturing much further out past the hotel towards this area, especially as a young female solo traveller, as it’s known to be unsafe.Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel towards others, even if it did feel a bit expensive for what I got. It would be good to make sure that customers know they may not have a city view when booking certain rooms as I was a bit disappointed here, but overall, thank you for a comfortable stay Hotel Indigo! Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Hotel Indigo Brussels - City By IHG, responded to this review Dear Gemma,Many thanks for your valuable feedback. We're delighted you found your room comfortable and appreciated our climate control during the warmer days. Our team takes pride in creating restful environments, and we're glad our breakfast offerings and attentive service made your mornings enjoyable. However, we regret that certain aspects of your stay fell short of your expectations. Two very good stays

    rating27 Mar 2026

Stayed here two times in a period over a week, and both stays were very good. I was recognised as a diamond elite member, and a member of staff at the breakfast restaurant still recognised me from my previous visit a couple of months ago. I got upgraded to a premium room with sofa bed. My only feedback would be that I had to ask the for the invoices while it was promised to be sent to me two times (for each stay). Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Hotel Indigo Brussels - City By IHG, responded to this review Dear Guest, We appreciate your candid feedback. We are delighted your loyalty as a Diamond Elite member was recognized with a room upgrade and that our breakfast team remembered your previous visit. We sincerely regret the delay in sending your invoices. Our reception team is typically prompt with such requests, and your feedback helps us ensure this service remains swift. It was a pleasure accommodating you twice at Indigo Brussels - City, where our botanical-inspired decor aims to create memorable urban retreats. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.Best regards,Elena, General Manager
