The complex was built in 1902. 125 non-smoking rooms are available to guests in a 7-storey main building and an 8-storey auxiliary building. This hotel has 2 lifts and a 24-hour reception desk. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. There are a number of shops as well.     Stayed here and from the first moment knew that this place was going to be rubbish. As you walk past reception to go up the stairs, there was a definite smell of sewage. My rooms window frame was riddled with wet rot. Despite being on the sixth floor, the noise just bled into the room from the streets, clearly no soundproofing. And the room looked like it was last decorated in the 1970s. Stay elsewhere.

    A dated but clean hotel .Staff are very pleasant and accommodating.Be mindful that you book breakfast prior to your visit otherwise it is more expensive.Other reviews state that the breakfast is excellent. I would say that it is ok . Buffet style , pastries , cereal . Hot food is ok . Hot drinks from a machine. Average throughout. Although staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was on the second floor at the front of the hotel . It was noisy with the traffic and emergency service vehicles going past- but it didn’t bother us .Bed , clean , mattress hard , pillows dreadful and only three of them . Mini fridge- empty Tea / coffee making facilities The room though dated was clean .

    Arrived at the hotel.Found out that we are at another building not what is showing in the boooking.I did not understand what executive room mean.No lotions, cheap soap , no second pillows, very hot in the bathroom ( can regulate the T).Promised to give us a good room.Nothing special( back yard, renovations, very bad smell all day from them )Rooms were nice and clean but the cleaning stuff did not even clean the garbage on our last day( forget their cleaning stuff in the room ).They did not worn us about renovations.Noise all day ( if you need to take a rest in PM ) Have to ask for a fridge .Breakfast ok but my last day I did not go.Coffee was terrible.Glad I stayed for 3 nights.

    A GOOD HOTEL FOR A SHORTER STAY

    I booked this hotel well in advance (several months) and got a “good” rate compared to if I had booked it weeks before when it comes to value for the money.The hotel is in a great location with the Metro stop right next to the hotel and easy to get anywhere from there. It is about a 20-minute walk to the Grand Place/Grote Markt with plenty of dinning opportunities there, as well as a few very near the hotel itself.The solo room I had was roomy enough for me with storage and a comfortable bed. Some may not like the lumpy pillow. The bathroom was compact. It had a small shower with curtain that some could find cramped. The space between the toilet and sink was tight and a large size person may find this bathroom too small for comfort. It was OK for me however, but just OK. The facilities could use a face lift but still fine for the time I spent there. Breakfast was basic but provided enough variety of what you need from proteins to cereals, breads, coffee and juices to get the day started with a full stomach.I stayed 4 nights and would not hesitate to stay again.
