    Nice hotel, good location

    Stayed 3 nights in the Hygge Hotel. Plus points are, good location, 10 mins from nearest bars, €8 Uber into main bar/ restaurant area. Room was very clean. Staff were lovely and really attentive. Shower was great, loads of pressure. Negative points are, rooms were a bit warm for us and pillows were very hard. There was a constant fan noise at night, think it was from outside, we were in room 1. Cant comment on the breakfast as we didn't use it. All in, was a lovely stay and would recommended the hotel, although 4 * is pushing it. Use Uber always, always a few minutes away. Some taxis near the midi station, trying it on with prices, beware.     Hygge was a very pleasant suprise. Staff were friendly and super helpful, especially Apostolis who was stellar. The (family) room was large, comfortable and toasty during cold winter days. Perfect to relax in or work from. Breakfast was limited but filling and much better than overflowing buffets where food just goes to waste. Location is also great with subway and PLENTY of shopping just a few minutes away. I really can't criticise anything. Even the price, though not low, is great value for money for Brussels.     Bed Bugs all over room! Stay if you dare!!

    My mother and I had one of the most stressful hotel experiences of our lives here. On our second night, we found bed bugs crawling on my mattress. We caught one in a bag and called the front desk immediately. Housekeeping didn’t even inspect the room before taking the bug and leaving. The night staff called a few minutes later, apologized, and said he’d move us to another room. It was already 11 pm, and we had to pack everything up in a panic.The new room was up a steep flight of stairs (hard for my mom), and when we finally got upstairs, the carpet was completely soaked — like a hose had been running. We had to call the front desk again. Staff admitted there was a leak but couldn’t find the source and asked us to move again. It was nearly 1 am, so we refused, and they just put towels down.We checked out early the next morning even though we had another night booked. They removed only one night from our bill. Later, I found another couple online who had stayed in the exact same room just two weeks before — and they also found bed bugs. They had taken photos and documented it to the hotel. When we got home, the real nightmare began. We spent:$50 at the laundromat washing everything we brought, $45 to have our car steam-cleaned, $30 on airtight storage bags, and $15 on bed bug bombs. Then the bites appeared — over 20 on my arms, legs, and feet. I ended up at urgent care with an allergic reaction ($50 copay + $25 prescriptions).The hotel later claimed their exterminator “found nothing” and refused to share the report — the exact same response they sent the previous guests who also found bugs. I spoke to the managers and they are refusing that any bed bugs existed even though the front desk admitted before.This was an absolute nightmare. My mother and I are never ones to cause a stink or demand our money back, but considering how appalling this entire situation was we expected better from management at this hotel. We want our money back. Please check your rooms carefully and avoid this hotel until they take these reports seriously.     What’s not to like. Good location and close to the metro links. Well decorated hotel with clean rooms and a comfortable bed.     Disreputable Business Practice via Booking.com

    My friend and I booked rooms via Booking.com well in advance for a trip to a choir festival in the city we will be taking in June 2026. We agreed a price of 237 Euro as offered on the Booking.com website. This week we both had emails (from a no reply address) from Booking.com telling us our credit cards were deemed invalid and our booking would be cancelled if we didn't put a new credit card into the system. We regarded this as suspicious as it had never happened before so we called and emailed the hotel direct to confirm this needed to be done. 2 different staff members assured me this wouldn't be a problem, we were on their system and the bookings were secure. 2 days later Booking.com had cancelled our bookings, the hotel emailed to confirm the cancellation and offering the same rooms for the same dates at the new price of over 700 Euros. I am deeply offended by this behaviour and believe the hotel had realised that there is a large event taking place in the city next June and rooms could be sold at a much higher rate. I have since found a better deal elsewhere for the same dates and paid in advance to ensure this trick isn't played on us again. Very poor customer service and dishonourable business practice.
