  A typical Ibis, the problem is what’s outside.

  The hotel is a typical Ibis, nothing special. The staff were ok at best. The area outside is awful, dirty and lacks anywhere to eat that isn’t Middle Eastern. It’s not safe outside at night.   Great for a long weekend break

  Overall had a great time at this hotel. Didn't use much of the facilities as it was an arts and culture break and we were out every day. My room was clean and everything worked properly. The system for storing your suitcase worked relatively efficiently despite the hotel being very busy. Breakfast was very good. There's a lot of choice with both continental style meals and cooked items. The hotel is located in a very convenient area. Trams, trains and buses nearby. My only reason for marking it as 4 instead of 5 is that I was woken up at 2am on one night due to repairs being done in a room above mine. I was told that my room was a premier room which was newly decorated. My room was nice but it was not newly decorated. Overall good value, courteous and helpful staff.   First visit to Brussels

  We stayed 1 night whilst attending a concert in the centre of Brussels and this hotel was conveniently located for our Eurostar arrival & departure, as well as for the Metro - which was only a 12 minute journey to Grand Place. The hotel was well presented, clean, and staff were friendly. The luggage storage was useful on the day of check-out so we could explore for a few more hours before getting the Eurostar to London. I do agree with other reviews that mention groups of men hanging around in the area, and at one point there were a couple even stood by the door of the hotel. Although, this didn’t phase us too much as we had just travelled from Paris which was SO much worse. The amount of homeless just across the street at the Tram station was shocking, albeit didn’t impact our stay. Also, there was a lot of noise in the hotel, the next morning, which woke us up. Banging and talking. We were at the far end of the hotel so unsure if this was caused by other guests, or by hotel staff. This was irritating but minor. We would likely stay again if ever returning to Brussels.   Nice hotel,bad location

  The hotel itself is nice, we were upgraded as we were celebrating a birthday and were able to check in earlier. The room was clean and spacious, not much of a view. The hotel is opposite the train station so very convienet if you get the Eurostar but the area is very run down, graffiti and rubbish everywhere. Lots of groups of men hanging around the streets and beggers everywhere, we felt very uncomfortable and made the decision to move hotels after one night- the room also doesn’t come with a safe which made us more on edge. The breakfast was okay, nothing special, a range of items to choose but not great quality.   My second stay at this Ibis. Efficient, good valu3 for money, typical Ibis shower and bedroom, really great location (for Brussels Midi - Eurostar, airport access and other trains) but no atmosphere. Bar OK.Will stay again when convenience calls ….
