    We chose this hotel for its location, convenient for our driving route.It's OK for one night.I have stayed in many Ibis Budget hotels, so I know what to expect, and the hard product here feels well below the brand's normal standard. I think it's just old and needs a complete refit. The drain smell in the room didn't help. On the positive side, staff are friendly, and the breakfast was as it should be.     Awful! Avoid if you have young children

    We arrived in the evening and checked in with no issues — 4 adults and an 11-month-old baby, with 2 rooms booked. The rooms were basic as expected, but also dirty and unsanitary. Under the beds there was visible dirt, and there was even chewing gum stuck underneath the bunk bed above the double bed.The toilet was essentially a cupboard with a motion-sensor light that switched off after about 20 seconds, meaning you had to get up mid-use to reactivate it. Both rooms had this issue. The air conditioning also didn’t work, which was a big problem as it was around 30°C during our stay.Because we had a baby who is crawling and exploring, the dirty floors made it unsafe to stay. We raised the concerns with reception and were offered new rooms, but as both of our original rooms had the same problems, we didn’t feel confident moving all of our belongings (and baby gear) for the issues to remain. We decided to book another hotel for the same night.At reception, we were told a refund would be arranged if we emailed management. However, after many emails, the refund was refused on the basis that the rooms were “clean” (which they were not). ALL.com, who we booked through, have been trying to contact the hotel on our behalf, but the hotel is now ignoring them entirely.Overall, this was a very poor experience — unhygienic, unbearably hot, and not family-friendly. We would not stay here again.     More Like a Budget Hostel

    I would describe this place more as a cheap hostel or youth accommodation rather than a hotel. The staff was friendly and smiling, but the cleanliness left much to be desired. Breakfast was definitely not worth the price. This type of accommodation is clearly intended for a different kind of clientele.We were looking for something close to Nemo33, but next time we’ll definitely stay elsewhere.     Basic yet comfortable and clean

    So it is what is says on the can basically, I is budget.The best way to describe it is good standard student accommodation.The hotel is 2 stops away from Brussels Midi and from the train station a maximum 5 minutes walk - very convenient. However it's worth noting the trains are c. Every half an hour and not 24 hours a day. The Uber then becomes a necessity to/from Brussels. Upon checking on the receptionist was very nice and efficient. To the right of reception is the breakfast room and to the left a coffee machine and some purchasable food/drink items. En-route to the room it is evident this hotel is very tired and budget. I would imagine the hotel does not see such profits from its rates to justify a refurb. Now to be clear the room was very comfortable and clean, it's just basic. There is nothing about it that is mid level or luxury but for those on a budget it is ideal!     Good price, standard ibis, under 10 minutes from train

    It's less than 10 minutes' walk from Ruisbroek station, which is on the S2 line just 2 stops from Midi station. There is a Carrefour Express supermarket right outside the station if you need some pastries, snacks, and drinks. The room is like a standard ibis - functional and reasonably spacious. The room was clean although some scruff marks where the wall meets the floor show their age. Windows can open and the heating was strong! Strangely, my room's lights turn on automatically during the night even after I had turned them off, but otherwise I had a very pleasant stay and saved a bit of money while not being too far from Brussels. If you want to head to Ghent or Bruges for a day trip, you can buy a single ticket from Ruisbroek to either city on the Belgian railways website. To get into Brussels, you can buy a Brupass XL which allows unlimited travel for an hour after activation, which includes the metro and buses.
