    Never again Novtel, not even for free

    Very poor staff and lots of issues with our stay. On our very first night of three we was placed in room 712 and the bed was broken in the middle which gave a horrible nights sleep also as other reviews previously experienced, the a/c barely worked in our room.We was also stuck in one of the lifts for 20 minutes, the alarm button not working and neither the phone, another couple with us in the lift where extremely clostraphobic and broke out in cold sweat, luckily we did manage to call the reception desk and someone managed to get us out of the lift.Next morning, same thing get stuck in the lift but very fortunately we managed to open the door and get out ourselves, spoke to reception who brushed us off and advised to email the manager and no hotel manager is available due to bank holiday. We had an executive room and mini bar was not replenished, due to the bed issue we demanded another room. Moved into room 604 now even though the bed is better still very poor air con and again the mini bar was not stocked again not to mention hotel cleaning staff walking off with our spare room key.The rooms are small, wc is like a singe wardrobe and bathroom is tiny, the photos on this hotel website so nice big rooms but believe me they are small. Would I recommend this hotel, no chance and this is an honest review from someone who travelled 5/6 times a year. I only gave the hotel 2 starts for the location Still as yet, no reply from my email or any contact from hotel manager so if you have any issues like we did, they don’t care

    Great and Convinient Place to Stay

    We stayed at this hotel during our Easter break this year, and the location is excellent for families. It’s very close to Brussels’ main central shopping area, just a 10‑minute walk from the Metro, and there are bus stops right outside the hotel. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, and both McDonald’s and Burger King are only a five‑minute walk away — very convenient when travelling with kids.We were two families with children and booked two rooms. The hotel thoughtfully placed them side by side, which made it easy for the kids to move between rooms. The hotel also has a gym and a small swimming pool, both of which the children thoroughly enjoyed. There’s a shoe‑cleaning machine near the downstairs toilets, and the hotel offers luggage storage after checkout, which was very helpful.The Hotel also have a gym and a small pool, as well as a shoe cleaner outside the downstairs toilet. Overall, we had a really good experience. The only downsides were that the bathroom and toilet doors didn’t have locks, which can be a bit tricky with young children, and the shower pressure was quite low. However, these minor issues wouldn’t stop me from booking here again.     Rooms were clean and the location is perfect - close to metro / bus stations (including Brussels Central train station) and walkable to Grand Palace and other tourist spots.Reception was helpful and accommodating.     Great base to explore Brussels

    I stayed in a double room with my young son for 4 nights. It was much more spacious than I expected. 2 windows with nice views. A fridge with water provided daily. Kettle with tea and coffee. Iron and ironing board. Comfy bed and a little sofa. Good shower and nice big towels. The only negatives would be the toilet is in a room with no sink, there are some signs of wear, and the air con was quite loud and not very effective. Nice gym and pool area although small. We had it to ourselves on the afternoon we went down. We didn't dine at the hotel. Great location, close to main sights and metro stations and lots of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.
