Location

The hotel places its guests just steps from the entrance to the Gare du Midi (south train station), in the heart of the bustling Brussels city life. The hotel is located just south of the city centre and is the closest hotel for all international railway travellers.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 142 rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Guests will also find slippers in their rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. Cosmetic products and a selection of towels provide additional comfort in the bathrooms. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The sports and entertainment facilities at the hotel ensure that guests have plenty of activities to choose from during their stay. The outdoor pool complex provides invigorating refreshment. A sun terrace is a great place to while away the hours. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including a gym and aerobics.

    Location: If you want to be near the Midi train station, then this is your hotel. It is literally right across the road. That's about where all the positives end. Central train stations all carry dodgy people within their vicinity. Brussels is no different in that regard. Plenty of homeless and drunks around. Hold on to your wallet and phone once you exit the property. Oh, and be careful not to trip up on the homeless sleeping in the hotel "Garden Patio". We left early both mornings and there is one recognizable homeless in a wheelchair we saw in the station who sleeps overnight on the hotel grounds. Rooms: If you are travelling solo, then skip this part. If there are more than 1 of you travelling seriously consider staying elsewhere. We booked a Twin Room. Apparently this is on request only. Not very clear on the website when you select your bed type. We arrived, Put into a King Room. Returned to reception, told no other rooms available and we should have checked in earlier to get a Twin Room. What?! They sent a rollaway bed to our room. A picture tells a thousand words, I'll let the reader determine if they think the size and condition of the bed is satisfactory - check the photos. Moved to a Twin Room for our second night. This I feel was luck only as the room move did not occur until we returned late. Atmosphere: Zero. Nil. N/A. Value: If it was free, it would still be too much.Cleanliness: Questionable. Water infiltration in the bedroom from the shower room on the other side. Photo attached.Service: Non existent. From the check-in clerk to Front Desk Manager and General Manager - just standard cut and paste replies. Either verbally or in email correspondence.I stayed many times when this was a Park Inn. The standards and customer service where much higher back then. This Radisson is a huge let down to the portfolio. Read as many reviews as you can. Note the standard copy and paste replies. That should tell you all you need to know.If you really need to be close to the Midi Train station then stay here. The 1 star in the review is for that reason only.Otherwise, stay elsewhere.     Location is very convenient just in front of gare midi. Hotel was recently remodeled and is very nice. The staff was helpful and corteous. Breakfast was good. There is a nice bar also. Will definitevely return when visiting Brussels.     Bad service, unclean, edgy area

    Service is terrible. Breakfast awful. Under staffed and not what should be expected for the price. When I arrived I had a water bottle I asked to be refilled with some water. Reception said they couldn’t do it. Asked me to buy water from their reception shop with single use plastic bottles. Breakfast is self service. But once I sat down there was no cutlery. There was only about a third of the restaurant full, but two thirds had unclean and used tables where people had left. I asked for cutlery and the guy forgot as my food was there getting cold. My room was not clean. Mugs had a ring of coffee where someone had used previously and lipstick make too. I suspect it had been rinsed under the bathroom tap. Also, not the hotels fault, but be aware that the area is situated in a horrible part of Brussels. It’s the kind of place you have to be on high alert. While I was here for my 2 night stay, I saw a fight outside the station. Put your phones away and hold your bags!     Spacious hotel with clean, modern rooms and very dark curtains. Breakfast was wildly expensive, but ample options at the train station next door.     Just opposite the Midi station, this is ideal for train travellers, particularly for Eurostar. Since our last visit the decor has been revised and the atmosphere is much more relaxed. The services remain good, the rooms comfortable, clean and quiet. A favourite no nonsense hotel offering good value.
