    Whistle stop stay

    rating02 Jun 2026

We stopped here for one night on 3rd May 2026. We wanted to be close to Charleroi airport as we had an early morning flight the next day. We had previously stopped in Brussels 2 nights prior (stayed in Pestana Brussels Schuman). We left Brussels and travelled to Charleroi by train. The hotel was approx. 5-minute walk from the train station. The main hotel entrance was accessible via two elevator levels. Check in was quick and we were given a complementary drinks voucher for the hotel bar. We used this on a glass of rose and a beer. The room itself was clean, had a comfy bed, plenty of storage, hairdryer, mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. It was nice to see bath sheets were provided and not small tea towel sized ones where you can’t get dry. Shower worked well, had excellent pressure and a nice hot temperature that didn’t drop. Wi-fi worked well too. We slept very well as it was in a very quiet location. As this was a whistle stop stay, we didn’t experience any of the bars/restaurants or shops that surround the hotel. Popped into McDonald’s though which is just around the corner. Hotel reception kindly booked us a taxi for the airport; it cost €40 and took about 20 minutes. this was a short but sweet stay. The staff we encountered were very helpful and spoke excellent English, it was nice to get a complimentary drink. If we ever return to Charleroi we will select this hotel again.
