    A lovely place to stay

    The Aparthotel Castelnou met or exceeded all our expectation. The staff were helpful, friendly and polylingual. The location was 800m from Ghent Dampoort station and about 1km to the old town of Ghent.The apartment was clean and comfortable. The WiFi was fast and consistent. Breakfast was included in our price and was plentiful with lots of choice. I would be very happy to stay here again.

    A decent place to stay. Not far from centre. Secure parking (in fact getting out was a little trickier than one would like, as we left very early). Good reception staff.

    A very nice clean and comfortable place to stay. Most struck by the friendliness of the staff. Lots of busses to and from town.We used the restaurant once during our 4 day stay and it was probably the best evening meal we had. But! bit much to charge so much for water. Not withstanding I can heartily recommend.

    An excellent hotel, slightly away from the centre of Ghent which meant it was in a queter location, but not too far to walk. Room very clean with excellent walk in shower and great to have a seperate living room. Range of food for breakfast was excellent and their adjoing restaurant was superb. Surprised it wasn't busier. My wife is gluten free and was provided with biggest selection of tasty gluten free treats at breakfast we have ever had. All staff were very helpful with a particularly helpful waitress in the restaurant and the receptionst very helpfully advised us on a better way to transfer to Bruges saving us a few Euros. All in all a good experience

    The staff motto here seems to be everything is too much trouble. Even their basic duties.Honestly it was like visiting faulty towers.Rooms are clean. Location OK. Luc Daneels, Eigenaar at Aparthotel Castelnou, responded to this review Thank you for your review. Sad to hear that you did not enjoy your stay as much as we like guests to. Rather surprsing I might say, given the vast majority of excellent reviews. We are trying to pinoint what may have gone wrong, but have not succeeded in locating your stay.
