  It has a great location, as it is very close to the train station. The service at the reception was excellent; on the first day, the receptionist recommended places to eat and marked them on the map. It takes 25–30 minutes to walk to the historic center—and you won't get lost—or you can take the tram. It is well worth staying here. They also support local producers with the items served at breakfast, which I highly recommend.   A wonderful, well-positioned, clean, comfortable, and friendly hotel.

  We had a lovely stay in the Hotel Chamade on 2nd September and were really very impressed with the whole place.The staff were friendly, the location was excellent - being a short walk from the train station and a roughly 30 minute walk from the historic centre. The walk is really nice and I would recommend this as there are nice shops, restaurants, and the city to see on the way. We stayed in Room 605 and I have to say it was very impressive - spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very spacious. It came with his and hers sinks, a small fridge, a lovely big shower, and a balcony with a really good view of the city. The balcony was so nice that we came back to the hotel with a bottle of wine and finished our night sitting outside enjoying the atmosphere. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and we had a quiet, peaceful sleep.Given how clean and comfortable the hotel was, and now nice the staff were, I think it's extremely reasonably-priced. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.   Loads of TLC — and it shows

  We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Chamade. The staff were friendly, great breakfast buffet , and our room was really clean.What really stood out was the hotel itself. It was renovated not so long ago and it shows: the interior is modern, attractive and clearly designed with attention to detail. Hotels often need a little TLC — Chamade has clearly had loads of it. A very well cared-for hotel and a pleasure to stay in.   Great hotel

  We selected the Hotel Chamade for its closeness to the station. It is certainly not far to walk but the footpaths are very uneven so you do need to be careful with suitcases. We spoilt ourselves by booking the room with a terrace and it was so lovely, plenty of room and the best bathroom- two sinks. We did use the terrace each evening to just enjoy sitting! Had a bar fridge - plus the cooling system was great and definitely needed!The staff are all very friendly and helpful - housekeeping did a great job everyday. We didn’t have breakfast because we like to go out and explore. There’s an Australian coffee place on platform 9 at the station good coffee and pastries. Ghent is beautiful we really enjoyed our time there, lots of food places etc around the hotel. Highly recommend staying at the hotel Chamade.   Good location and good overall

  The location for the station is ideal and about a 25 minute walk into the town which is entirely doable but there is a tram if needed.Reception staff were lovely and as room was ready were able to check in early.We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that.Room was lovely and modern and very clean and comfortable.Even though 3 star there was tea and coffee in the room and even a biscuit which seems to be unheard of in 4 star more expensive hotel. Great value.Highly recommend.
