Location

The hotel is situated in the centre of Ghent, opposite the Town Hall and alongside the Saint Bavo Cathedral. In Ghent guests will travel back to the Middle Ages with another impressive cathedral at every cobble-stoned street corner. Restaurants, bars, shops and links to the public transport network can all be found in the hotel’s immediate vicinity.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 7 junior suites, a suite and 166 double rooms located in a 4-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Further services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service and a laundry service. Bicycle storage for a fee is available to guests. There is a bike hire service as well. Complimentary newspapers are available. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. Further amenities include an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms include a hairdryer and are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request.     Stay away from this place. Awful experience.

    Our room was awful. There was no room to put anything down anywhere. We had to put ourLuggage on the floor. We requested several times for a luggage rack or someone to come to the room to look at the room set up. The other couples were with had a couch and several shelves to be able to put their things on. No one ever responded to our request. Even after contacting the corporate headquarters to express our frustration. Just awful experience for a supposed 4 star hotel. Beware before booking. I’d never use this brand of hotel ever. The staff could care less about any of this. Bad corporate culture, clearly.
