    A Pleasant and Comfortable Stay.

    This facility is a short drive to the center of Ghent and is off a main highway but far enough not to hear the noise. Parking is available and is free and there are many EV charging stations. The Residence Inn is walking distance to the football , or soccer, Ghelamco arena. Public transportation is available. The staff in the Residence Inn was very friendly and helpful, including Linda at the front desk in the morning and Emiel in the evening. The breakfast staff is wonderful as well, especially in ensuring that my husband's gluten allergy was not compromised. It had a large variety of gluten free items and other assortments of delicious food. The Inn has a bar and a restaurant, where we had dinner twice. The Cod fish that we ordered was fresh and well prepared. The room had a contemporary design. It was airy, bright and overall pleasant. The shower had no grab bar for those who may need it.

    We stayed here for one night during the weekend and overall had a comfortable stay. The hotel is located about 20 minutes from Ghent City Centre.The rooms were very spacious, and we liked that it was easy to cast videos to the TV and that the screen could be turned towards either the bed or the sofa area. The hotel is dog-friendly, and there’s even a small area near reception where you can buy snacks, drinks, and dog treats. Parking is available in front of the hotel, although during our stay construction limited the number of spaces.The breakfast options were good, but the biggest downside was the limited seating. On Sunday morning, especially after 9 AM, it was extremely crowded and we had to wait for a table. The breakfast area is located right next to reception, which felt like an odd location for a brunch.Overall, it’s a good option if you want a spacious stay outside the city.

    Lovely hotel shame about the construction works!

    We were moved to the Residence Inn as the accommodation we originally booked in the centre of Ghent was closed due to flooding. The room was lovely and very comfortable. Beautiful bedding and soft towels. A small kitchen area to prepare food and a massive TV with English channels. Unfortunately the location of the hotel is a long way from the centre and at weekends there is very little public transport. The restaurant in the hotel is also closed at weekends. We did walk one day into the centre and it took over an hour. The number 19 bus weekdays takes you into the centre and stops across the road from the hotel. The construction work outside the hotel starts at 7am and is very loud. Don't have your windows open as I was bitten very badly by mosquito the staff at the hotel provided me with a plug in when I mentioned it. Breakfast was great and the gym was well equipped and open 24 hours. There is also a laundry area. It is ideal for business traveller. The staff very helpful but sadly due to the location and construction work it was not for us.     A bit out of the way, but a good place to stay.

    Very friendly service, nice rooms and good food at the restaurant. Breakfast was very good as well. Sergio and Iena went out of their way to be helpful. There is no bus service here on weekends. Getting to town without a car requires a 15 minute walk to the nearby hospital, which is the end of a tram line.     Very good hotel

    This hotel is a very good choice. The location is a little bit outside of town. It takes about 10 minutes to drive into the center of town. The only negative is the next door is a big construction site, but it doesn’t affect the noise. We got upgraded so the room was fairly large. The bathroom is still extremely small so keep that in mind for two people is a little bit tight. Breakfast was very good. There is a gym, which is also reasonably large.In contrary to earlier reviews, the staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. I had no problem working with them. Parking was free and it was a bonus.I would definitely come back, but you will need to car to get around because it is too far to walk into town. Also close to the highway so easy to get on and off. I was recognized as a titanium with an upgrade, which was very nice.
