Minimum Staffing, Overheated Room
01 Oct 2025
This place seems determined to have as few staff on duty as possible, probably to limit the cost of wages. One uses a pad at the bar to check oneself in and the same pad to checkout. When our TV sets did not work, we had to wait an hour for help and then the one staff person had to abandon the front desk. The windows barely open, and the sun beats down on the front of the building, so the rooms heat up. The air conditioning barely functions, so Lord help you on a hot day. They have messages in the elevator that give you the impression that you are living an alternative life style, but ye gods, this is just a hotel chain. Not a great experience. Hotel Manager, Owner at Pentahotel Liege, responded to this review Dear Guest, Thank you for providing us with your feedback, it is always gratefully received. However, we are sincerely sorry that some aspects of your experience did not meet expectations. Our 24-hour front desk team is always available to assist with immediate needs through direct communication. All rooms feature individually adjustable climate controls, and we encourage guests to contact us for assistance optimizing these settings. Regarding technical aspects, our maintenance team remains on call to promptly address any equipment concerns. We hope that you will return on a future occasion. Best regards,Penta Team

Basic. Nice staff
02 May 2025
Staff were friendly and helpful with advice and recommendations. Lobby was hipster trendy with bar, pool tables, etc. Room was clean and sufficient but lacking design. Amenities include hand soap, shampoo and body wash. NO lotion or conditioner provided. Location near historic are and walkable from there Hotel Manager, Owner at Pentahotel Liege, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.We are delighted that you appreciated the friendly support from our multilingual team and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of our Pentalounge, designed as a dynamic space for relaxation and socializing. It is also wonderful to know our stringent cleaning procedures contributed to a comfortable stay. However, we regret that certain elements of your experience did not fully meet your expectations. Our rooms feature contemporary decor by Matteo Thun, though we acknowledge preferences for design can vary. Regarding amenities, we provide sustainable Zenology shampoo and body wash in dispensers for all guests, with body balm available in Penta Plus rooms and suites. We will review your feedback to ensure clearer communication about our offerings. Finally, we are pleased your stay allowed you to explore Liège’s historic center, steps from iconic sites like the Christmas market and Montagne de Bueren. Our central location remains a highlight for guests seeking to immerse themselves in the city’s energy. We hope to welcome you back for a more seamless experience in the future.Kind regards,Front Office Team

Not impressed to the max
20 Aug 2023
The hotel is quite nice. The ground floor is made in a way, that it feels like seperate living rooms. The hotel is fully designed in a bit of industrial vintage. It has high potential, but in the end did not fully impress me. During my stay, there were travel groups checking in and out. It took long to check in. In the room I was spending ten minutes to find the right light adjustments with the industrial buttons. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was good as well. (walk in shower) Really disturbing was the self activating AC during the night. All nights it wake me up. Breakfast was really great in terms of choices, but if I need to share a table with foreign people due to lack of space, this is not what I need in the morning. Cocktails are not the cheapest and not the best, I tried Spritz and Daiquiri. So there were better options in the center. Hotel has a deal with the Central Carpark (be aware, it is NOT the one next to the hotel) and it is actually a bit of an effort to walk the 200m through the whole construction work area with your luggage towards the hotel. So to sum it up, huge potential, but somehow it didn't click. PD: Dogs are allowed in this hotel. Fee applies per 5 days stay. Pentahotel Liège, Sales at Pentahotel Liege, responded to this review Hi there, thanks a lot for taking the time to leave us an extensive review. We hope you will keep good memories of your city trip on Liège. Take care, Tommaso

Good choice
12 Jun 2023
Very good location with the cathedral near and a lot of restaurants and pubs in the are. The rooms are big enough. The fitness room is ok but I would suggest to improve with more equipment. Breakfast is ok. Parking is 200 m by walk, what is long distance if you carry heavy baggage. Pentahotel Liège, Sales at Pentahotel Liege, responded to this review Dear Eduardo, thank you for leaving us your review which reflected your positive experience with us. We are glad you liked our central location in the heart of the city. We hope to see you again soon. Take care, Tommaso
