The hotel is located at the city center of Mechelen and reachable by bike, public transport. The check in and out speed is fine. The room big but old fashioned. The humidity or the quality of air is disturbing. The sleep comfor was fine. I suggest for short stays only. If you are looking to find an ok place to stay its differently worth considering, if the location fits your needs. The room was dark and there was only one power socket in the room - far from the bed. The products in the bathroom seemed to be topped up with water. Breakfast was nice. Guest Relations NH Mechelen, Guest Services / Front Office at NH Mechelen, responded to this review Dear Christina,Thank you for sharing your impressions following your recent stay. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast and found our location suitable for your needs. We are sorry to learn that certain aspects of the room did not meet your expectations. The products in the bathroom could in theory not have been topped up with water since the are not accessible without a key. We appreciate your constructive comments and the time taken to review your stay. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for a more seamless visit.Best regards,NH Mechelen

Avoid this hotel!!!

Awful hotel. Outdated and in great need of an update!Parking is dangerously tight.Do not pay for the breakfast, there are plenty of lovely places in the area to eat. They claim is famous but not sure for what. There is no choice. Food is undercooked, and definitely not worth the money they charge.I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all. Guest Relations NH Mechelen, Guest Services / Front Office at NH Mechelen, responded to this review Dear Sharon,We are sorry to read about your experience in our hotel, but we would like to clarify our point of view regarding the breakfast. You have booked through Booking, where our visitors rate our breakfast with a very nice score of 8,6. It is Booking that promotes breakfast as "Fabulous breakfast" when a hotel scores between 8,5 and 8,9 for breakfast. The term is based on the continuous great feedback we receive from our guests regarding the breakfast. We understood that you found the boiled eggs undercooked. Please note that boiled eggs exist in various stages of doneness achieved and that if you do not feel happy about the offer, you can kindly ask our staff to bring you your desired boiled egg. It is always our intention to ensure that our guests find value in what we offer so we regret to read that we did not meet your expectations in this respect. Your feedback is valuable as it helps us identify areas for improvement. Best regards,NH Mechelen
