Location

This hotel enjoys a peaceful location in the upper outskirts of Spa. Lying amidst rolling forests in the Belgian Ardennes, this hotel offers the ideal location for those wishing to enjoy a relaxing holiday before a harmonic, picturesque backdrop. It is just 5 min drive to the town centre and the town of Spa is famous for its thermal springs, the wonderful Royal Golf Club des Fagnes and the world-famous Formula One racetrack of Spa-Francorchamps. The hotel offers excellent cuisine and offers a rich cultural and historical heritage. It is well worth paying a visit to a few of the many museums, castles and monuments to be found in the surrounding area.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1905. 46 suites and 43 double rooms are available to guests in a 4-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Rooms

    Bad cigarettes smell in the room

    It is actually a shame that I can only rate this as terrible.Most of the experience was very good, the dinner was very good. The room looked nice. However, the second we entered the room it smelled like cigarettes. It was very present. When I went to complain about this at the frontdesk they told me they could not give me another room but that they were going to look into it. Never saw nor heard anybody from the hotel after that...You make us sign a non-smoking policy but then we enter our room and it rieks of cigarettes...     A three star hotel at 5 star prices. Basic bedrooms with uncomfortable beds. I contacted the front desk about this especially because my bed kept moving and my pillows were falling between the gaps. No alternative provided. Also, I kept going down to reception for basics — water, bathrobe, slippers etcThe leisure facilities downstairs added a nice touch to what was essentially a standard experience. Breakfast at €26 is a total ripoff!     This is an amazing place to stay. The charming claissical hotel is beautiful with a very cozy bar and big spa. The restaurant and breakfast was perfect and very freindly service.The location is ideal with hiking options to the center through the woods or to the termas of Spa. There is also a bus possible.     Radisson Blu? This hotel... Definitely not for you.

    Radisson Blu Spa Balmoral.Blue, and definitely not for you.Run. As fast as you can.Stayed? There is a trick.I’ll show you where your circle of influence is.Upon checkout, the receptionist will ask you if they can charge the card where they made the reservation on. Refuse this and they will have to come up with a solution.Be patient and don’t give in. Eventually they will end up giving you a discount.When dealing with a hotel like this you have to pay them back on the same level.We arrived Friday evening. As Radisson VIP members, we received a complimentary upgrade to a ‘suite’.This ‘suite’ had two single beds that didn’t match, one mattress was higher, one lower.We requested another room.This new ‘suite’ was in such poor shape that it should be completely renovated and is unsuitable for guests to stay in. Broken floors, broken furniture, broken lighting, dirty. It looked like an evicted property.With the state of this property, one would expect do not cross lines.I returned to reception to ask them if this was a joke. The receptionist showed me 7 rooms.All 7 in horrid state.In the weekend there is no manager present. Very self absorbed front desk manager who refuses to listen to complaints.Breakfast?Plastic bowls. Frozen fruit.Poor quality of food.Poorly trained staff. And still Christmas deco (25-1).See the photographs, they tell the story.
