  The best hotel in Belize

  Great place, probably the best resort we’ve been so far in Belize, we stayed at the 1 bedroom villa with a nice private plunge pool (was like a hot tub, very warm and nice) and a nice private waterfall, the room was huge, nice living room, fully equipped kitchen with beers, cookies and conplementary sodas inside of the fridge, it has a bathroom with a regular shower and an outside bathroom with and outside shower and a bathtub with complementary salt bath, on top of that a cover outdoor terrace and a great balcony with an speechless view of the forest, valley and the small private waterfall.The food was delicious very gourmet local menu, dinner menu changed every nights, breakfast and lunch were the same options and they are a very good quality of items in there, our favorite hidden valley breakfast 100% recommend.The staff is the highest area of this place, the quality of the service is top notch, Marvin, Benjamin and Kenny, great people, always smiling and telling us stories about the place, this ladies in front desk as well, full communication with us to get everything that we need, specially for the room service ahahah.On top of all of that, the place have 7200acres with needless waterfalls and beautiful views. 100% recommended.

  Perfection - stay here!

  Every aspect of this resort was excellent and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I usually do t write reviews, but I felt compelled to share how extraordinary this stay was.Service - I’m listing this first because our experience with the staff was so special. Every interaction was positive and thoughtful. We were always greeted with a warm smile and they even took the time to learn our names. So many shared their stories with us and we also learned a lot about the Mayan culture. The resort is top notch in its own, but the people here make it such an exceptional experience. Rooms - Very clean, hot showers, fans everywhere. Filtered water provided all day. We were so comfortable. There was also a large screened back porch with sofa, table and hammock where we could all hang out. Location - the grounds are meticulously maintained. So much beauty everywhere you look. Many birds and butterflies around the rooms and lodge. We hiked to King Vulture falls look out and were blown away. We also had a little picnic at Secret Falls and swam in the natural pool (pictured below). The lodge is far from large crowds and noise of the city. Food - Chef Sean is award winning for a reason. Breakfast was a treat, especially with the espresso options. Even teens were up early to catch breakfast. They packed excellent lunches for us when we had excursions. Dinner was beyond words. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was perfected planned. Excursions - We booked Caracol (tour guide Marvin) and ATM caves (tour guide Jugo) with Hidden Valley. Every detail was considered to make these trips comfortable. Our tour guides taught us so much and made the experiences so wonderful. They were both excellent sources of Mayan history and we learned so much.

  The Fire Tower Did Not Disappoint

  My wife and I live in Belize and love to try out different resorts during the slower times of the year. My wife had just finished a big project at her work so I booked at Hidden Valley so we could relax for a few days. We booked the FireTower due to its uniqueness. It did not disappoint.The Fire Tower is 3 floors up and modeled after the fire towers used to lookout for forrest fires. There are 48 stairs to get from the ground floor, but it feels like a small price to pay for the view. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck in the morning and evening and listening to the various bird calls and enjoying the view that was almost 100% nature. The only other structure visible is the guard house at the front entrance to the resort.The resorts boasts 100 miles of trails that are available for hiking. They will even shuttle you to and from the various trail heads and the front desk. They even provide a radio in case you need help, or just to call for a pickup at the end of your hike. We did hike one day and throughly enjoyed it.PRO TIP: The unit has a small kitchenette in it with a dorm-style fridge and microwave. If you are coming in through the main Belize airport (BZE) I'd recommend hitting duty free for a few bottles of your favorite adult beverage. It'll save you some serious $$$$$ over the prices at the resort bar.

  Hidden Valley, hidden gem

  We loved Hidden Valley. It is a small lodge and it feels quite exclusive. The service is good and the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We had a room with an outside shower which was wonderful. There bed was very comfortable and there was a hammock in a screened porch. There are lots of insects that bite so make sure you use the oil provided by the lodge. The restaurant menu was imaginative using local suppliers and ingredients. Portions were large and we ended up sharing starters and desserts. Drivers will take you to a trail and then collect you when you are ready to return using a 2 way radio for communication. We loved our picnic lunch at the waterfall.
