  Nightmare at Hotel Sagarnaga

  Don't waste your money by booking this hostal (it's not even a hotel): they don't answer emails, breakfast area is not professional (scrambled eggs are served cold because they don't use sternum gas to keep it hot), they never clean my room in four days, there's is no heater inside the room, bed is too hard, security box doesn't work and they don't know how to fix it, etc. Total nightmare

  Very well situated, amazing staff, good restaurant.They are flexible to store your luggage and arrange a taxi or tours if needed.I definitely recommend this hotel, the Bolivian Empandas are delicious so is the food in the restaurant. I could not find some really nice restaurant around so I was happy to have this restaurant service the whole day.There was even some entertainment from a small group of young musicians, it adds up to the service and quality.I felt very comfortable, had a room on the 5th floor with a magnificent view. Everyone has a bright smile, happy feeling Highly recommended

  I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything. The rooms are nice, could be cleaner though as I found many long hairs in the room and bathroom as well as on the pillow. However I still rate the hotel 5 stars as I had a great stay.

  We stayed at Hotel Sagarnaga pre and post Uyuni trip. It is not a luxury hotel, but it serves the purpose of being a good hotel with central location, attentive service and convenience to all kinds of service. If you are joining any day tour, Hotel Sagarnaga is also the meeting point as it has the famous Cafe del Mundo attached with the best coffee and pastries in La Paz. It has a nice restaurant on site and many restaurants within 1 block, including the authentic Korean restaurant a few steps away. If you want to book day tour, there is a local travel company at the lobby, and many other tour companies within the same block. Walking distance to Witches market, San Francisco Square and many other attractions are within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance. The good thing is that there isn't any taxi driver who don't know about Hotel Sagarnaga. One more thing you should not miss is its on-site massage therapist on 2nd floor, operated by a Bolivian couple who is kind and skillful to take your stress away. Enjoy your stay and the best location in La Paz!

  Super hotel in the heart of the city.

  A very budget friendly hotel indeed with the best location ever in La Paz. We had a first room on the second floor facing a brick wall which I didn’t like so we moved to the fifth floor with an amazing view of the city and lots of sunshine which was great.I loved the fact that it had restaurants and cafes on site ( excellent ones too) and that it was so conveniently situated. On the map it seemed close enough to the witches market but in reality it is literally around the corner. You can also just walk around and get to the teleferico and the main squares really easily. Yet the best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are all so nice and helpful I was stunned. Really I would like to thank them all for making my stay so pleasant.If I can go back to this city one day, I know where I’ll stay.
