A Stay in Paradise
18 Jul 2017
Our stay at Bahiamarela was amazing. Everything was superb. The staff was very attentive and polite and the accommodations were very comfortable and well-managed. We particularly enjoyed the hearty breafast as well as the meals served at the restaurant. The waiters are also excellent bar-tenders!The view from our room was incredible, especially at sunset. We could not feel more satisfied to have chosen this venue to spend our holidays in Búzios. very peaceful

Loved the time here at Bahiamarela. Has a very good view from the pool and even better from the rooms. Ask for a room on the highest floors if you can, they will have the best views. The infinity pool was very nice and peaceful and had two bed cabanas to laze in along with the regular lounge chairs. Breakfast buffet was decent. The jacuzzi tub though takes FOREVER to fill up, so plan accordingly. Excellent!

I've had the pleasure of not only staying at the hotel for 4 days but also doing my wedding at this venue. The beauty of the place speaks for itself. But we also had a great experience with the staff, hotel amenities and location. I was very pleased with my choice and will certainly go back to this hotel when I visit Buzios. This is a beautiful pousada with a perfect view of praia de joa fernandes. Food and service are always excellent. They saw it was my wife's birthday on our I'd cards at check in . At dinner they surprised her with a cake Bahiamarela, Gerente geral at Bahiamarela Boutique Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,We would like to thank you for choosing the Bahiamarela Boutique Hotel for your accommodation in Búzios and we apologize for the delay in replying. We will be delighted to welcome you again at a next opportunity, check us on the website, we will have a special rate for you.Regards,Flávia Bispo

unhelpful staff and management
27 Feb 2016
We have been to Buzios many times and decided to stay at a hotel close to the beach. Unfortunately, proximity to the beach and the morning breakfast were the only things we enjoyed about this hotel. After being told several stories about why the wifi was not working (we needeed to stay in touch with relatives back home), constant noise from the stairs that attached to the side of our room, and the other party in our group having a room on the opposite end of the complex when we made our reservations together, we asked to talk to the hotel manager Michel. Shortly into the discussion it became apparent that Michel was not going to take responsibility for anything related to the hotel our his staff. He did offer to give a discount on a future visit (we weren't looking for any type of discount and why would we want a discount on a future visit!) and he could move us over 2 rooms on the upcoming Saturday. Of course on Saturday we did not get another room. Some other concerns we had with the hotel: When there was hot water, it could not be controlled or adjusted with the knobs so there is a possibilty of being scalded, especially children. The hotel was constructing a tile patio during our visit so you could hear a tile saw at all hours during the day. I'm not sure why they decided to do construction during the busiest time of year. Many of the rooms have balconies high off the ground with wide open railing, making it very dangerous for children to fall off the balcony if the balcony slider is left open or unlocked. Also, if you are going to stay at the hotel, please make sure you bring bug spray as we found a poisonous centipede in the bathroom.Unfortunately, I would not reommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing and quite vacation.
