Location ?? right accros the street you can eat a variety of foods. The place feels safe and is safe. Good for families. Hotel is nice staff js friendly . Rooms are not too new but they are clean. Breakfast is also great. For us this was a great place to stay and now it already our third time staying at this hotel

Waiting for refund due to me for over a month.

Still waiting for my refund for the days I cancelled with the reception staff at the hotel. Nobody seems to be taking the case seriously despite escalating to their management. Room was basic, felt like a dorm.

Loud techno music noise all day - terrible vacation experience

Together with the family of a friend, we made a round trip through Brasil with my wife and our two kids.We visited Fortaleza a few days and decided to stay in the Hotel Mareiro, following the recommendation of a US travel site.Unfortunately it was a bad choice, and one of our worst hotel experiences since a long time.The problem is the location of the hotel directly on the opposite side of an open-air fitness academy. Group lessons of the fitness club start early in the morning and continue into the afternoon, and basically all of them are using extremely loud techno music. The terrible music noise was in our apartment and at the hotel's pool area all day long - there was no place to escape. A restful sleep in the morning or a nap in the afternoon became impossible ... BUM - BUM - BUM from the fitness club with no end.We spoke to the receptionist who told us there was nothing she could do; also the hotel manager did not seem to care. Apparently music noise is normal for many of the brasilian guests. I doubt this is the case for international tourists.The food was okey, the rooms were clean. Unfortunately most of the time we were rather tired due to a lack of good sleep and rest, so at the end we were glad to leave the Hotel Mareiro. We will not come back.
