    Excellent location of the hotel and a fantastic view

    Very good experience. Excellent location of the hotel and a fantastic view of the ocean and the beach in Fortaleza. There is not much to criticize, good internet, clean hotel and decent food. Maybe only the possessions and equipment are starting to become obsolete. The TV also has no channels at all, if you are not Brazilian, there is nothing to watch.

    We had 2 short stays here before and after our birdwatching trip to NE Brazil.We enjoyed our stays (2 nights before, 3 nights after), the rooms were good with storage, comfortable bed, reliable hot water for showering. We enjoyed the pool area, even though it is quite small it is a pleasant space to relax.Reception staff very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome.All staff were great, breakfast greeting was always very welcoming too.Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a good choice of breakfast items and there was an omlette station.Would have liked some complimentary water in the room, and there were some minor maintenance issues the second time around, however service was very efficient and problems quickly dealt with.Good central location, very easy to get to the ( rocky) beach and short walk to the night market one way, and fish market the other.

    We stayed here 13 nights. The room was drab. The "door" was a visual barrier but had gaps all around. The AC is only on when your card key is inserted by the door.Furniture is tired looking.The lobby is well airconditioned.Internet was out one morning.People like to slam their doors. The atrium is open so thats annoying at 6:30 am.The "bell-hops" will fight you to carry your bag for a tip.According to my Brazilian wife who owned some flats in Fortaleza 15 years ago this hotel has changed locations.     Too old fashioned, too amateuristic

    Hotels in tourist destination always suffer from lack of service and personality. But still, you want the quality you pay for. Othon Palace doesn’t provide this. It is a bit boring old fashioned place. Not one employee smiles. Room is quite large, but no charm at all, with lack of power plugs near the bed. The swimming pool is a shame and the promo fotos are unacceptably misleading. Same for the gym. The free to use piano in the (too small a) lounge is a nice idea. But the pedals don’t work, and that makes the play by (elder) guests a awkward hearing experience. FLAVIA CRISTIAN...
