Comfortable and spacious rooms, caring and multilingual staff, with many excellent restaurants within a 15 minute walk. This was our falls home base, and after a few days of touring in the heat, we were always glad to get back for some rest and a good breakfast.

Decent Stay for a Visit to the Brazilian Side of Iguazu Falls
25 Jan 2026
My first impression of this hotel was that they do Christmas right! We arrived on New Year’s Day, and their decorations were amazing! Upon our arrival, we were treated to welcome drinks by the enthusiastic front desk staff. We were also informed that our room had been upgraded at no charge, which was a nice surprise. We’d booked a Double Room with 1 Double Bed, but not sure what class of room we ended up in. We ended up in a large somewhat dark and empty feeling room that looked down over the pool, with a sitting area, table and chairs, and 1.5 baths. This hotel has the look of one that was absolutely amazing in its prime, but is maybe about 20 years past that. Everything seemed very fancy, but dated. For instance, our room had a giant whirlpool tub, but a tiny shower enclosed in frosted glass. It also seemed that our room may have had water damage at one point, since there were multiple places along the outer wall where the drywall was cracked and bulging. It was also very sparsely decorated. In addition, the half bathroom smelled terrible, though luckily we didn’t have to use it since we had another toilet and were only there one night. On the plus side, breakfast here was amazing – the best we experienced in our entire 3-week trip to South America. Plenty of fresh fruit, cheese, cereal, pastries, etc. The area around the hotel didn’t have a lot going on, but there were a few restaurants right across the street, and a few more about a 15-minute walk away.

A Big No. NAO!
20 Dec 2025
* The fabric of the hotel is poor and dated. * There are holes in the reception ceiling one of which is filled by a piece of cardboard.* The stairway to the pool in cordoned off and out of use. * The room we have has no bedside lights, no soft furnishings, no wall art. It has no rugs on the floor. It looks and is unfinished. There is one single old wooden chair to sit on. No sofa, etc* Cheap thin towels* what appears to be mould around the window sills as well as in the bathroom * air con unit and fridge old and yellowed* no complimentary drinks or snacks

A Perfect Stay at Hotel Continental Inn (Foz do Iguaçu) - Get 4-Star Quality for 3-Star Price!
27 Jun 2025
Hotel Continental Inn: A 4-Star Gem and the Best of Iguaçu!Our stay at Hotel Continental Inn in Foz do Iguaçu was absolutely outstanding, truly making our trip despite an unexpected flight cancellation. From the second we arrived, the staff's genuine warmth shone through. Thiago greeted us right out of the taxi, and Gladys at reception ensured a smooth and friendly check-in. Every single team member was incredibly helpful and kind; Girardo, in particular, took exceptional care of us during dinner, making each meal a pleasure.Beyond the fantastic service, the value here is unbeatable. This is a 4-star hotel offering quality that rivals prices of 3-star hotels on the Argentine side of Iguaçu – it’s an incredible deal! The food and drinks were excellent and very reasonably priced. Our room was spotless, and we loved the hotel's commitment to being eco-friendly.For anyone visiting the magnificent Iguaçu Falls, here’s our top tip: choose the Brazilian side! It's a significantly superior experience compared to the Argentine side; we'd recommend Brazil 100/100 times. The Hotel Continental Inn truly made our stay better, leaving us with a wonderfully positive impression even when our travel plans went awry. A huge thank you to Thiago, Girardo, Gladys, and the entire team for your exceptional hospitality!

Good place to stay whilst visiting falls
23 Sept 2024
We stayed here for 2 nights as we visited Iguazu Falls on both Brazilian and Argentinian sides. Room was large, comfortable the only thing missing was a kettle so we could make our own tea. Breakfast had a good selection and we ate one night in restaurant which was a buffet which was nice with great service from Jose. Lots of local restaurants a short walk away plus a couple of supermarkets so you can stock up. I would also suggest that the hotel should provide a drinking water machine so you can refill water bottles on floors or in reception
