    I was a victim of fraud after booking at this hotel through Agoda. The fraudster used the exact address. When we arrived there the hotel was not very clean at the reception area and our booking number did not exist. It does not seem if they are investigating this because their address was used. Agoda did not refund us and indicated that they are investigating it but no updates. When we arrived at the hotel the person at reception who was very friendly also indicated that they do not make use of Agoda but I saw the hotel are constantly advertised by Agoda which confuses me. I did not see the hotel rooms but we waited for an Uber on the couch at reception which was worn down . I will not book at that hotel if visiting Copacabana again. Location of the hotel is good though being opposite the railway station.

    I have lived in dorms in Hostels many times. Most of those times were better than this hotel. Lets start with the positives:- Close to the beachThe negatives:- Air Condition was not working which means the room was absolutely boiling. So no sleep.- Generally rundown place. Broken furniture in the lobby, shaky elevators, filthy bathroom.- Unstable WiFi- We had to tell the staff thrice about the AC. When they finally ”fixed” it there was barely any difference. I can cope with a low standard in hotels but not for this price. Even though its close to Copa it is far too overpriced.We checked out one day early and asked about one nights refund. Did not get it and got a lousy answer when we said we slept horribly.Avoid this place.

    The hotel stay was extremely disappointing — AC was non-functional with a broken switch, bathroom was dirty with no hot water, wardrobe broken, sealed door, foul smell, poor hygiene, dirty common areas, miniature swimming pool, shaking lifts, limited breakfast menu, and an unhelpful, non-cooperative reception desk.

    beach. Hotel looks good on first impression but on closer looking lobby is tired, sofas need cleaning. Rooms very very basic, covers so dated, doors shabby. There is strange sort of small lounge as you come in which doesn't serve any purpose. Curtains didn't meet, only two sockets worked. Air conditioning button seemed to have loose wires and you had to jiggle the switch about to get it working. The tv was a big old grey version (didn't think they were still used) only CNN channel. Breakfast not really good couldn't get a normal cup of tea. Not everyone likes flavoured. Asked for natural tea told didn't have any. Staff not very friendly asked if they could print boarding passes and told no system was done but clearly they were using it at the desk, concierge gentlemen were very nice.     Rooms are adequate bedroom,sitting room,cleaned everydayAnything we needed from cleaner she provided, air con.not the greatest can be loud at times.happy with room.Difficult to get lift to work sometimes had to use the stairs fromeleventh floor to reception.Pool small but useful to cool down. Breakfast okay,you can get your fill,if there is something you would like,fried eggs eg.just ask.they could do with a toaster.Hotel needs a makeover and a good cleaning.The best about this hotel is location,10 metres across road to metro,1/4 mile to beach,pubs and plenty of eating places nearby.
