  We stayed at Elegance Praia Hotel for 6 days, and unfortunately the experience was marked by repeated disappointment.From the very beginning, the approach to early check-in was surprising – for just a few hours earlier arrival, we were asked to pay the full rate for an extra day, with no willingness to find a more reasonable solution.The room we were given had no natural daylight. The only window faced an internal shaft, where a loud kitchen ventilation system was running continuously, day and night. Sleeping in such conditions was extremely difficult. On top of that, the door handle was broken and the overall condition of the room felt poorly maintained.Cleanliness was another major issue – visible dirt and even signs of mold are simply not acceptable at this level of accommodation.Throughout our stay, we chose not to complain and tried to tolerate the situation. At the end, we kindly asked whether it would be possible to stay a few extra hours (approximately 4) until our taxi, especially considering the issues we had documented with photos. Unfortunately, once again there was no willingness to offer any flexibility, and we were asked to pay additional charges.The only positives were the breakfast, which was good, and the gentleman taking care of it, who was very kind. The hotel’s location is also convenient.Overall, both the condition of the hotel and the approach of the staff did not meet expectations and felt like a missed opportunity. I would not consider staying here again.”

  I stayed at Elegance Hotel for 14 nights from 26 Feb 2024 to 11 March 2024. I really had a good time at this hotel. A very clean and spacious room, a comfortable bed, very friendly staff and good breakfast. I would stay here again. Thank you very much.

  Best deal in Flamengo, Rio de Janeiro

  Extremely clean, good access (by subway) to tourist areas, very good deal. Helpful staff, great for business travelers, good for tourists. Not really beach front, Flamengo beach is part of the Guanabara Bay not open sea. However the subway system, with a station extremely close to the hotel, is a great acces to Copacabana or Ipanema beaches.

  Horrible Experience

  I stayed here with my fiancée for my wedding and the experience was awful. At the start, they allocated us to the wrong room! They put us in a room without a hot tube even though we paid for one. Moreover, they only gave us one key even though we were a couple! We are separate entities and may decide to have breakfast at different times! We need two keys! Another horrible feature of the room is the lack of hooks to hold the towels! And some parts of the bathroom walls were damage. The worst part was the treatment the bride and her mother received! They refused to let the mother go to our room so that she could get her daughter. It is a shame that a city as wonderful as Rio has such horrible hotel!

  I've never seen in my life a cleanness like this in this category of Hotel. Good breakfast, well located with a big garage, good size of the rooms, nice crew . If I look for a default, the only one is the windows without view. A little shower in the shower cabinet would be better too. I recommend this hotel.
