Wonderful beachfront hotel in Ipanema Beach Rio

Staff, accommodations, location, food and drink were outstanding. Highly highly recommend. Probably the best hotel I ever stayed at.

We did not like the hotel. It needs to be refurbished. Our bathroom shower had mold on the tile and area smelled musty. I understand it’s a boutique hotel however, The room was crowded and there was not enough space to function.The chairs on the porch were wooden & uncomfortable, the small tables on the porch & in the room had rounded tops forcing your glasses cups & whatever you placed on top to be unbalanced / fall. Overall Boring decor. The pool area was ok. The hotel breakfast had a very nice spread & the hotel restaurants were very good! food & service excellent ?? Stayed here with my teens and had a wonderful experience. We had a large and well-appointed delux suite with spectacular ocean view and balcony. The restaurant was excellent and we were able to navigate a few dietary restrictions with easy. Quality of food was great. The staff was amazing and did attempt to accommodate our few small requests. It is on the beach- all beaches in Rio seem to be public but when you cross the street to the beach there is staff there with chairs, towels umbrellas, and water. Pool side on the roof were great drinks and food and GREAT views- especially at sunset. Could get a bit rowdy with young kids playing / splashing at times. Was a great stay for our first time in Rio. Fasano Rio offers the perfect combination of an exceptional location, understated elegance and comfort. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the service throughout our stay was warm, attentive and highly professional.The rooftop pool and bar are undoubtedly a highlight, with fabulous views over Ipanema and a wonderful atmosphere.
