    I highly recommend this hotel due to its incredible staff and location. Food and service was very good and overall efficiency of the hotel is wonderful. Upstairs pool and bar is excellent.

    This hotel has a superb location in the middle of Copacabana beach. The beach area opposite the hotel is great. The staff in the restaurants, pool terrace and on the beach were excellent however the management is poor. It feels like there is significant under investment and the staff are under supported. There were never enough staff on reception or cleaning and it took ages to get any query resolved and to check in. When we checked in the safe didn’t work - there were no instructions and turned out you needed 6 digits not 4 digits which was our guess. There was a kettle and coffee machine in the room but the plugs didn’t work with the room sockets. We were given an adapter but it didn’t work nor did the second adapter - finally I took the kettle down to reception and they found one that fitted after much queuing. The housekeeping was an issue - again not enough staff. Our room didn’t get cleaned on the first day til after 5pm despite arriving back at 4pm and requesting a clean. The same happened 2 more days and not all our towels were replaced however the room clean was good. Insufficient towels was something we heard other guests complain about. The reception staff promised to pass on requests about housekeeping, and trying to get an iron for the room was a challenge - nothing happened until requests were made more than once, sometimes 3 times. Shame as staff try their best.     Everything was great except the reception staff who were very unhelpful, dismissive, disrespectful and arrogant when we asked for assistance after my mobile phone was stolen on the street. For this reason I won’t be recommending the motel as they left us feeling very stressed and frustrated!     A super hotel in a great location on Copacabana beach.

    We were recommended this hotel by Trailfinders. We weren't disappointed. There are only 122 rooms - we had a deluxe room with a side sea view and balcony on the 10th floor. The view was amazing, even though it wasn't a full sea view. The room and bathroom were a very good size and well equipped. Breakfast was an absolute treat - the range of fruit was spectacular. The waiters were fabulous and the food was beautifully presented. The roof top bar served great drinks and a great snacks menu. The views from the top of Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain, were sensational. The staff were all friendly and helpful- especially the team on Reception. There are a few reasons why I didn't give the hotel 5 stars.- the hotel has only 2 lifts and when 1 broke down, I waited over 15 minutes for the second one. - maintenance was taking place in the hotel and we could hear the drilling on our balcony.- a tennis tournament was set up on the beach,across from the hotel. The hotel umbrellas were not separated from other umbrella sellers. We were constantly being bothered by sellers.
