    DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL - HIDDEN TERMS! We made a $5000 non refundable booking at this hotel during Carnival and were informed only at check-in of a 200 real 'unregistered guest' fee if you wanted any friend / person to visit your room (not stay overnight!) even for 5 minutes. We have lots of friends in Rio who wanted to use our room as a place to get showered post beach. Have never come across such a rule in any hotel in the world at any time. Management were totally inflexible

    Good hotel. Very good breakfast. Staff are friendly and relaxed. Would definitely return.The gym is basic. Rooms a good size and good showers.

    Located only 2 blocks to the beach. Many restaurants & shops close by. The staff were friendly & professional.My room was spacious & clean. Everything worked fine. My bed had clean linens & I slept quite comfortable.     I would definitely stay here again. The staff is all amazing. Ioberto and Eliabe at front desk were able to help in friendly ways. My room had a distant view of Christ the Redeemer statue. The beds/pillows comfortable and ice cold a/c. Big shower with plenty of hot water. Hotel has no pool but why would you use one when you're 2 blocks from Ipanema beach. The breakfast buffet was excellent in every aspect. Room service cheeseburger and fries very good for $6. Hotel is a little older but staff really keeps it nice. Excellent safe location with many restaurants and shops nearby.

    This hotel offers good value for money, but their practice of not allowing unregistered guests into the hotel is not appreciated. It’s both insulting and demeaning. So if you plan to have guests in your room and don’t want to register them, you are hear-by advised to stay away from this hotel.
