Good but needs cleaning
04 Oct 2026
The service was good, the team are friendly and helpful. This was the main plus point, they genuinely were lovely. However, the main downside was the room wasn't clean on arrival. We noted grime and dust around/under the bed, TV and dressing areas and along the skirting boards. We asked for it to be cleaned, which they did for us after a few hours later while we went out for dinner. The team was very kind about it and immediately responsive. Once clean, the room was fine. The place could do with a touch up, we noticed the door for the bathroom was broken and had some wear and tear. The breakfast was really tasty, since it's attached to a cafe.Overall, would get a higher rating if they touched up rooms and made sure rooms were cleaned properly on a regular basis.

Great hotel in the heart of Ipanema
01 Oct 2026
Had a very pleasant stay in the Ipanema Inn. The location is perfect, in the liveliest part of Ipanema with plenty of bars and restaurants around the corner. We felt safe all the time and enjoyed the beach beds provided by the hotel. Also the free bicycle rental was a nice free option for an easy visit to the Copacabana.Breakfast was great and staff super friendly. Special mention to Samual at the reception desk who was always very attentive to help! Would book again when visiting Rio.

I had such a wonderful stay at Ipanema Inn! As a female solo traveler, feeling safe and comfortable was really important to me, and I felt both throughout my entire stay. The hotel staff truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, comfortable, and accommodated. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The service genuinely made my stay even more enjoyable. The location is absolutely fantastic — so close to the beach and within easy reach of so many great restaurants, shops, and things to do in Ipanema. I couldn’t have asked for a better location.A very special shout-out to Marjiore and Samuel for their exceptional service. They went above and beyond and made me feel so well taken care of.I’m so happy I chose to stay here and would absolutely stay at Ipanema Inn again! Highly recommend, especially if you’re traveling solo or with family/friends.

A very good hotel and absolutely perfect location. A half block to the beach and two blocks to the metro, in the heart of Ipanema. Good breakfast, charming multi-lingual staff. Modern, well-maintained condition.
