  Relax and enjoy your time in Atlantic forest at 1000m

  Pousada located in great remote location surrounded by Atlantic forest at 1000m altitude with stunning views over the hills of the National parks. We got an upgraded room with jacuzzi in the main building. Stuff is friendly and attentive, they speak English and will help you with your questions. Serra dos Orgaos National park is just 12km/20min driving from the pousada. Some people write comments that place is outdated but we noticed that staff work hard on the maintenance and cleaning so it’s sufficiently cared pousada although water in pools was somewhat not enough transparent so we didn’t give it a try :)Would rate as 5 but 1 star is taken away by somehow disappointing restaurant - very limited and a bit expensive menu vs. quality provided. Chief cook was not flexible and we were not allowed to replace side dishes (e.g. to serve potatoes instead of rice etc.) - definitely area to improve. Breakfast is complete and tasty (although juices were diluted). All in all good and comfortable stay. I would recommend this place to enjoy the nature and relax after busy Rio.

  Old hotel that needs maintenance

  This is an average hotel. It has great service, and an outstanding view, but is in need of some maintenance. It is also isolated and very far away from everything. The food here is not so good, and they are commonly missing things on the menu. If you are looking for a hotel in the same category, I would suggest the Villa Bavarian, not much far away from le Siramat.

  Everything was great! Our room was always clean, the staff is very kind and ready to help us and the hotel has a great localization, close to restaurants, exchanges, bars... me and my husband certainly would come back!

  Nice spot but needs maintenance

  This pousada is located in a very nice spot, but that, plus the swimming pools are the main positives about this place. It is far, far from everything and that you can find out if you do a little research. But what you do not see is that the pictures are outdated and actually this place needs a complete renovation. Especially the tenniscourt, the gym, the sauna and the pooltable. None of the staff speaks English and they were also not particularly friendly. I think it is way overrated on tripadvisor and that is because of the views. For the rest I recommend to think twice.

  Stunning views with a friendly maritaca!

  My girlfriend and I spent some time in Petropolis after christmas and I have to say it was very good! Overall, I had a very good time there. The staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and the views were stunning. Lucas, the Maritaca that made Le Siramat its home was one of the highlights of the trip! We became good friends during my stay!There were things that I think the pousada could benefit from (having worked in different hotels):1) The hotel is at the centre of the atlantic forest. The availability of a variety of fresh fruits shouldn't be a problem during breakfast, but only papaya and watermelon were available. 2) Room aesthetics. The pipes in the shower were all exposed, taps didn't look very good and some plug sockets were hanging, with three things plugged to one socket. I usually stay in hostels when I travel and I see these type of things all the time, but it only costs me R$40-50, not R$200. For the price I paid, I was expecting a better set up.3) Poor wifi in room 12.Apart from this, it is a very good place! thanks!
