2 junior suites and 110 double rooms are located on 12 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     U helpful staff, dirty floors in bedrooms, needs renovation

    We turned uo and queued for a long while to check in. Not one member of staff on reception smiled or welcomed us, in fact our whole stay we didn’t receive a smile from one member of staff: The rooms are not very clean, they are tired looking and in desperate need of renovation.     Great Views From Oceanfront Rooms & Roof

    This hotel is very nice, but the selling point here is definitely the oceanfront rooms! We stayed in an Executive Superior Double Room with Ocean View, which we unfortunately only got to enjoy for 7 hours due to a delayed flight. Our room felt spacious and clean, with a small table and chairs, and a big mirror. The only issue with the room was that the blanket on the bed was incredibly thin. It felt more like a sheet, and there were no other blankets anywhere to be found. I was freezing! In contrast to the bright and modern room, the bathroom felt very dated, with the countertop, floors, and shower enclosure all done in the same 80’s-inspired laminate. The view from our room was gorgeous, looking straight out onto Copacabana Beach. We only stayed here for one night, but since we weren’t flying out until late in the evening, the hotel let us hang out on the rooftop and enjoy the amenities for a few hours after we’d checked out, once we arrived back to the hotel after having been out all day on a tour. The rooftop is amazing! We didn’t get in the pool, but there were plenty of people in it. It isn’t a large pool and there aren’t a lot of sun loungers given the size of the hotel. You can order drinks and food up on the roof, and you have a gorgeous view of Copacabana beach in both directions – plus Christ the Redeemer looking back behind the hotel. Since we were only here one night I can’t speak to the safety of the area around the hotel.     Perfect location, nice staff, average amenities

    First, the location is perfect. The hotel is right across from Copacabana beach with lots of activities and restaurants nearby. The metro station is within walking distance.Staff were nice and attentive. We arrived early in the morning before check-in time and were offered access to the rooftop pool and bar. We requested luggage storage and our bags were nicely sealed in plastic bags.Our room was rather mediocre for a 4-star establishment. There were lack of amenities like slippers and paper tissues.Overall, if location is your top priority, then this is the place. We always felt safe around the hotel, day and night.     A good experience from a busy hotel

    I stayed at the Windsor Excelsior during December, 2025. I enjoyed my time there. I would have to get very high marks for the food and the cleanliness. High marks on these two categories are no small feat given the amount of tourist volume seen by the hotel. And I there were a few stars employees during my stay. Mathias at the front desk and Caroline the manager was excellent. Lucas at the poolside bar was outstanding, always courteous with a smile--a place to relax and have lunch by the pool--the best place to escape the Rio heat. Lucas always took care of things by the pool.Overall, a wonderful stay, although a few of the front desk staff seemed to need a bit more training in terms of making reservations or providing directions. In sum, I enjoyed my stay in Rio and would highly recommend the hotel if you want to stay beachfront in Copacabana.     I’ve never felt so disrespected by hotel staff

    The hotel is well located, and the rooms are comfortable. Unfortunately, the front desk experience was extremely disappointing. We arrived around 8 a.m. and politely asked about an early check-in, especially for one room, since my parents are over 60 and needed to rest. The staff were rude and dismissive—one asked us to come back in 30 minutes and then mocked us when we did. Another receptionist abruptly said there were no rooms available in our category. We were even willing to pay for an upgrade, but the lack of empathy and professionalism made this the worst check-in experience I’ve ever had. I’ve never felt so disrespected by hotel staff.
