    Good, safe, central hotel but pool area not ideal

    Great location a block back from Coco beach. Very safe and not too busy when we visited. Good choice at breakfast. Only has a small rooftop, cold, pool (not very easy to find!). No pool towel service and pool bar not open on the two afternoons we tried it. The higher sun terrace is small and was occupied on both occasions so we had to sit down near the small pool on the lower shady area with limited seating. On the second afternoon two young women who had been on the sun terrace using the two loungers and playing their music for a couple of hours, got dressed, packed up and left in the lift down past reception and outside as I went down to reception at the same time. So they were obviously not hotel guests! Possibly staff? Needs to be a security check or room key card to access this level as it's not secure for hotel guests if everyone has access to this level of the hotel! Plus it limits seating and loungers for genuine guests. Otherwise we had a good start to our Brazilian holiday here.

    I appreciate a language barrier but I found the staff not to be very helpful on reception, also snacks on the side in my eyes unless there’s a price list you presume they’re complementary, appears not so when they tried to charge us it felt deceitful, the gym and pool look a lot bigger and nice in the photos, both are pretty rubbish. we also booked a trip through the hotel which ended up with me having my card blocked so god knows what companies they mix with, avoid.

    Amazing stay!The staff here is incredible, especially Fernando at reception and Mayke. They gave us great tips and helped us with everything. The restaurant staff felt a bit unusual at times, but everyone else was truly amazing.The hotel is nice, with comfortable rooms on the same floor, and once again the people working here really made the difference. Fernando and Mayke, thank you so much for the wonderful experience — I’ll definitely be writing about you in my book!

    It is clean and well located hotel close Copacabana.Nice terrace with pool and relax zone on 18 th floor with great view on Rio.Breakfasts are very tasty with with a wide selection of products.Wi_fi very poor. We were on 17 th floor and access to Wi-Fi was unavailable very often.

    We booked a hotel room and were given a nosy one by the street, the AC was also very loud and not working right. We were unable to fall asleep due to all the noise coming from the AC, so we told the front desk receptionist to change our room for us but she only kept insisting that she would get to it the next day. The front desk lady, wearing glasses, was very rude, unhelpful, had no curtesy, and was unwilling to help customers. She didn't even bother giving her attention to those seeking assistance. All the other front desk employees were willing to help except for her. We also informed her that the phone in our room wasn't working but she never addressed our issues and simply carried on with whatever she had going on. The breakfast buffet also had many sweets which could be improved. Over all, we don't recommend the hotel considering the price that paid.
