Location

The hotel is three blocks from the most famous beach in Brazil, the Copacabana, and it offers guests a prime location. The hotel is situated between two metro stations, Siqueira Campos and Arcoverde, and at the heart of one of the most important tourist centres in Rio de Janeiro, surrounded by theatres, cinemas, bars, restaurants and various shops.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 13 suites, 65 single rooms and 65 double rooms. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     Location was 5 mins from the beach the rooms were very nice and clean service was good but the only problem I had was the air con I was still getting bit a little from mosquitos and I asked for a double bed and given two singles

    Don't stay here. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that my reservation was canceled. They could not explain to me why it had been canceled. They said that it was no problem and that I could redo my reservation right there. They booked me a room that costs $90 more than my original reservation. They claimed the room i had was no longer available even though i had received another confirmation the night before arriving. I was assured that the room was better than my original room. I decided to stay since I had tours scheduled to pick me up at the hotel. I was then asked to put down a R$300 deposit which I would get back upon checkout. I asked if i could check in early, and i could. For another fee. I got very upset. I asked to speak to a manager. I was told that i could not because the manager does not speak English. The room is nothing special. I definitely feel like I've been scammed. There is a microwave in the lobby but no plates. When I asked for one, I was told to walk to a bar a block away and ask if they could give me a plate. I will say that the location is great but again, the rooms are not nice and the amenities are limited. When I complained about the WiFi, they acted as if that was totally abnormal but after reading the reviews, i see that it has been a problem for quite some time. After my last tour, I will be checking out a day early. I asked for a refund for the last day and was told no. I regret booking this reservation.

    Worst. Hotel. Ever. Do. Not. Book.

    Been to over 15 countries, this is easily the worst hotel I've every stayed in. Roaches crawling in the shower and in my bag, Wifi only worked in the lobby and then in the hallway of my floor not in my room so I had to stand in the hallway every time I needed internet. The first night I was charged a guest fee of R$150, the 2nd night a different employee told me the guest fee was R$250. When i told him the night before I only paid R$150 he told me that there was no record of that and that the previous worker made a mistake. They also pick and choose who they want to stop to see if they are a guest, most people walk right through. I had a late departing flight and they even charged me to hold my bags, which I have never once heard of a hotel doing especially after just paying to stay there for 5 days. The bathroom had two toilets and one was not even connected to anything it was just in there. The air conditioning unit isn't even installed properly in the wall so not only is it loud but you can clearly hear the outside area through the openings surrounding it. I would say the only redeeming factor is the location but its on the furthest street away from the beach in Copa so its not even prime location. If I could give negative stars for this place i would.

    Super fine hotel. Very clean. Varied and abundant breakfast. Friendly and helpful personnel. Outstanding location. Quiet street. Staff here makes you feel special. I was there with 10 adolescent-students, and we had a great experience!

    Cockroaches !Con’s- This is an awful property- don’t get conned by the facade or entrance ! Staff unhelpful - ask anything “ wait for manager who starts work at 09:00-can’t help you “ don’t care if your tour starts before , Holes in the wall 2ft hole exposed to out behind loud air conditioner, toilet -> You can hear others & inappropriate sounds coming thro as top ceiling of the toilet is a grill - not sure if others can actually see you !! Hear people all the time / plus bedroom wall paper thin- hear phones ringing next door !- Privacy ?No coffee in room or kettleLittle or no proper charging unit in roomThey ring you incessantly 1/2 hour before check out time.Old building Probably ideal for 1 level above back packer hostel.Pros -Close to Beach Small pool on floor 14( not 13) 3 star breakfast only No - we wouldn’t stay here or recomend it
