Location

Situated in downtown Rio de Janeiro, the Guanabara Palace Hotel is just a few blocks from the Santos Dumont airport and offers easy access to other areas of the city. From the rooftop terrace, you have a wonderful view out over the Guanabara Bay and various historic monuments.

Facility

The hotel has 6 lifts and features 485 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities.     Very disappointed in our one night stay. Two stars at best. Paint peeling in all rooms. Uncomfortable beds. Breakfast similar to college cafeteria. Very small pool and patio area. Location is good as we were going to the port but that is only advantage.     Comfortable hotel, great staff

    We enjoyed our stay after a long flight. Paula is amazing. She spoke in English and helped us with finding restaurants and answering our questions. Great customer service. Breakfast includes buffet style. It had an array of food. Bread, hot options, tea, juices. The room was comfortable with three beds. We were on the 22nd floor. We were able to walk to the waterfront and Candelaria church. It's in the financial district. We were and to go to the attractions around this area.     It's a walking distance to several iconic points in Rio (Confeitaria Colombo, Museu do Amanhã, Mural Etnias, Candelaria, and others.Breakfast was great and staff very polite.We checked out at 11am and left the bags in their storage while we explored the area a bit more until our flight.     Corridor outside our bedroom flooded in the middle of the night. A lot of noise, so no sleep. No housekeeping today. We came back tonight to find our room had not been done.     A short visit at winsor, on the way home.The room found in nice condition clean and tidy.Room placed in 15 floor, on the front of the hotel.The toilet found klagede, informed the reception and the problem was solved.Dinner found to be a buffet.
