Nice hotel in a wonderful city
22 Jan 2026
Spent several days at The Fasano, Salvador during our trip to Brazil. The hotel is topend luxery with excellant staff, accomadation & facilities. The restaurant is very good (we had breakfast & and one supper there) and the hotel is well placed for all the local sites.

Not worth the money
31 Oct 2025
You get nothing except a room. No concierge. The front desk people are not friendly. Poor English. Very expensive breakfast. Also attached is the photo of the view from the room.

Great hotel, staff is excellent
13 Sept 2025
Beautiful and atmospheric hotel! The room (we got an upgrade) was spacious and very comfortable, with a great view over the Bay of All Saints. It's location to discover the old town, is excellent. Every member of staff is professional and friendly. They act before you have to ask. Recommended.

Terrible experience
14 Mar 2025
Terrible experience we were assigned a room on the 2nd floor we opened the window and saw only a view of a wall, no water or city view, ruined the experience the hotel was not at all busy (3 days after Carnival ended), the hotel sits on a hill apparently overlooking a beautiful bay, if you go ask for a water view on a higher floor

Probably the best hotel in Salvador
03 Nov 2024
The Fasano is probably the best hotel in Salvador. Small Brazilian chain. Perfect antidote to large US hotel chains in particular. Decent size without feeling huge. Has a boutique hotel vibe. The room was large and well decorated. Wonderful renovated original wooden parquet floors in the hallways and rooms. Everything in the room was in good working order. The hotel is located in the old headquarters building of a local newspaper. On a hill above the port and lower town. Wonderful views of the Bay of All Saints. Walking distance to the Pelourinho district (although you probably shouldn't walk there or back at night). Easy taxi or Uber ride to some of the better restaurants in Salvador. Service was attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. Very nice breakfast buffet in the morning in the main restaurant on the ground floor. There is a wonderful bar and pool on the roof, with great views of the city and the bay. Decent gym on the top floor as well, which I used one of the mornings we were there. Overall, an excellent stay.
