Hospitality above and beyond. We really enjoyed being here during the July 5 World Cup when Brazil won against Japan. The hotel and staff was lit up with excitement which was contagious. The accommodations were nice and the bed was comfortable. The ac was out so we were given the option and room to sleep at the Ibis hotel next door. So we did. However, the restaurant food and drink was absolutely delicious. I had salmon with black rice and asparagus the first night and Caipirnhas the rest of the time.?? The staff was so accommodating and kind to our group of five. In the neighborhood there are restaurants, local stores, and local transportation. Ubers were easy to get to the attractions in Pelourinho.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, great friendly and helpful staff, room was good, restaurant and food options was great, location by the coast was excellent, very nice for the price, highly recommend and would stay here again

Ok but nothing special.

Convenient location close to good restaurants but a taxi / Uber will be needed to reach the city centre. Small pool area with an infinity pool and bar. Rooms are ok in size but bathrooms really need updated and window did not close completely (not really an issue given the heat). Air con in the bedroom seemed be on and really cold or off. Service can be slow. Rooms not cleaned / serviced every day but not sure why. Bathrooms especially would benefit from a deep clean. Breakfast is good and varied. I visited at a busy time so some lapses can be forgiven. Ok if you want to be in this area but check the prices for better alternatives.

Having been to this hotel 3 times per year since 2015, I’ve been impressed with the physical improvements over the years. As mentioned many times, the location in RV is perfect and the views are spectacular. The pool deck is wonderful. The fitness center has promise but needs major upgrades to the equipment. The restaurant has been renovated and the vast breakfast selections (including a omelette and freshly prepared juice bar) is appreciated. The staff in all departments are welcoming, efficient and pleasant. Shout out to Izael, he is a fantastic addition to the front desk crew! Rooms are not luxurious but new investments in linen, towels and pillows are noticeable. I highly recommend you consider this property as your home base to visit this diverse and exciting city!

not a real Mercure level...

I've stayed here for two nights...basic room, not so clean...this is not a Mercure Hotel level for sure...i've been in many Mercure Hotel all around the world and this is the worst...the only good thing is breakfast...they don't have umbrella to borrow you if it rains (it rained two nights on two)...for the price i paid, compared to brazilian cost of living, they should have given me the umbrella...too expensive for the hotel it actually is
