  A warm welcome, but room for improvement

  Our stay started on a lovely note: our luggage was taken to our rooms while we enjoyed welcome drinks. The room was clean, although the shower was over a rather high-sided bathtub that required some climbing to get into. During our stay, the bed was made, but the sheets were not changed.Unfortunately, breakfast and the buffet were disappointing. The plates available were sometimes dirty, and clean plates and cutlery were often hard to find—we regularly had to hunt for spoons. Food was too often cold, dishes ran out and were not replenished despite requests, and the bread was very hard.We had a room above the reception and bar, and the noise was like they had party in our room. Our friends had requested and paid more for a better room in the upper floors, but did not get it the whole week since there weren’t any available.The spa was clean and pleasant, but the floor was extremely slippery in the slippers provided in the room. Overall, we appreciated the welcome and the spa, but the dining experience needs improvement.

  Personal is unfriendly and most don’t even speak Bulgarian. Most of the questions and needs for help we had were unanswered or the experience fixing some of our problems was frustrating, slow, and ineffective.   Our Pirin Wedding/Holiday Experience

  We recently booked and held our wedding at Pirin Golf & Spa, and overall we had a fantastic stay and a wonderful experience.There were a few confusions with our room allocations when we first arrived, but I have to say the reception team were prompt in dealing with the situation and worked to find a resolution.A special mention has to go to Atanaska, our Events Manager. I genuinely couldn’t recommend her enough. Nothing ever seemed to be a problem, and she was always incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. She answered every question I had with a smile and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. She also made sure we were appropriately compensated for the issues we experienced at the beginning of our stay, which we really appreciated.For anyone looking for a relaxing break surrounded by amazing scenery, this is definitely somewhere to consider. The resort has a lovely, peaceful atmosphere and during our stay it seemed to be mainly filled with golfers. From what we could see, the golf course itself looked incredible.The outdoor heated pools were also a real highlight. We had a few chilly days during our stay, but being able to relax in the warm pools while surrounded by the mountains was fantastic.We stayed in an apartment, which was spacious and comfortable. One thing to be aware of is that the rooms aren’t necessarily cleaned daily, so we did have to contact reception a few times to request cleaning. Also, if access to the gym is important to you, make sure you check which building your accommodation is in, as gym access was not included with the apartment we stayed in.On a couple of occasions, we did find ourselves waiting at the bar for staff, although we eventually discovered that we could use the all-inclusive restaurant bar for drinks, which was much easier.Overall, despite a few minor issues at the beginning and during our stay, we had a brilliant experience and would happily return. The scenery, pools, peaceful atmosphere and, above all, the fantastic support we received from Atanaska made our wedding stay a very memorable one.

  Dirty bed sheets

  Awful experience, the bed sheets were stained, with hair everywhere. There were dead spiders in the room everywhere. We spoke to the general manager who didnt seem to care and just sent someone to put other sheets. I would not recommend!

  Disappointing "All-Inclusive" Experience – Poor Management and Service

  A complete disappointment from our 5-day stay at Pirin Golf. The "All-Inclusive" option here is a total farce: repurposed food from previous meals, endless minced meat in various forms, and a constant lack of alcohol (running out after the second glass with no restocking in sight).In the rooms, the air conditioning units leak, which the staff simply dismisses as "condensation." The service attitude is appalling-lazy, sullen, and indifferent. Most of the staff do not speak Bulgarian at all, and their English is below par and virtually incomprehensible. Used glasses in the common areas sat uncollected for two full days.The hotel allows pets, which creates a very unpleasant environment for other guests-dogs barking while you eat, along with uncontrolled smoking in the garden area during meal times. The only bright spot was the housekeeping staff, who actually did their jobs.For the prices charged, you receive total neglect. There is zero hospitality or quality to be found here. This was my last stay at a Bulgarian hotel, especially under an "All-Inclusive" package. Going forward, I will be spending my vacations elsewhere and will not be returning to Bulgarian tourism. Strongly not recommended!
