Avoid at all cost. Eaten alive with bed bugs. Food i wouldn't give to my dog. Changed rooms 3 times. First room mouldy and leak. 2nd room bed bugs. 3rd room bed bugs which got transported with our luggage and clothes. Holiday from hell. Anxiety is extremely high. I can't get in touch with our holiday company because of Nats at Airports. So stuck here.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I genuinely would not recommend it to anyone.The room smelled absolutely awful, and the table on the balcony was covered in a thick layer of dirt. Have you no shame charging so much money while failing to provide even the most basic standard of quality?The food was terrible. The dishes were still dripping with water because nobody had even bothered to dry them. By lunchtime, the coffee machines had already been turned off, apparently to save money.There was also a man working by the pool who repeatedly and aggressively tried to start conversations with me, insisting that he wanted to get to know me. It made me feel very uncomfortable.I managed to stay at the hotel for only three nights before taking an overnight bus to Istanbul. It was the best decision I made—to leave!!! ????Shame on you.

We booked our stay at Balaton Hotel through Sembo Travel, and it completely ruined our vacation. After a grueling 20-hour journey, we were subjected to what can only be described as a complete nightmare stay with zero hygiene and safety.The Key Issues: Severe Health Hazards (Room 1 & 2): The first room we were checked into had live cockroaches, zero maintenance, and trash left behind by previous guests. After demanding a change, the second room was even more horrific—featuring visible bloodstains and bodily fluids on the pillows and bedsheets. Filthy Bathroom Conditions: The bathroom was covered in mold and the fixtures were completely rusted through. The shower floor, showerhead, and taps were coated in layers of thick, long-term limescale built up over years, making it impossible to shower safely. Fake Cleaning Services: When we requested a cleaning, the staff completely ignored the dirty bedsheets, failed to scrub any of the scale, and simply picked up our used towels and refolded them back onto an unmade bed. Hostile & Unprofessional Staff: When we raised these legitimate complaints, the management and reception staff (including a receptionist named Vanya) were entirely dismissive. They offered zero help, took nothing seriously, and instead gave us hostile, dirty looks for the remainder of our stay.This hotel is an absolute biohazard. The conditions are completely unacceptable, unsafe, and uninhabitable. Save your money and stay far away.While the hotel itself was a complete disaster, Sembo Travel really saved us. The Balaton Hotel was listed as "non-refundable," but Sembo Travel stepped in, took our situation seriously, and successfully fought to get it refunded. We are incredibly grateful for Sembo's support, but we strongly warn anyone against staying at this actual property.
