  DO NOT STAY HERE! Severe Health Hazard & Complete Dishonesty

  We experienced an overbooking nightmare upon arrival, and when we finally got into our room, it suffered from a severe sanitary and health hazard (unbearable stench).The owner and the management lied constantly, offered no real solutions, and flat-out refused to refund even a single Euro. It was only after a long fight with proof that we successfully secured a full refund.Terrible service, dishonest staff, and unsafe conditions. Save yourself the nightmare and book somewhere else! Peter Stoychev, Owner at Bora Bora Hotel, responded to this review There is nothing to disprove here.The claims of a smell were not confirmed by any of our staff. There is no point of denying, we could have simply resolved the issue if there was one. There were guests before and after you in the said room. No agency rep was called to confirm the aimed issue. They just send a video claiming a smell. There was indeed one night overbooking for one of your rooms and we found an accommodation within 30 minutes in a next door building for the night. We have refunded just the said one night for one room.Out only explanation is the guests had different expectations.In all such cases we usually try to compensate guests in various ways for actual problems. In this case we could not confirm a problem nor were we given a chance to make the things right for the 1 night different accommodation.You did not stay at all, so you could give us marks on location, service, rooms, and so on.

  Great holiday at the Bora Bora

  We have just returned from 2 weeks staying at the Bora Bora. It’s a lovely family run hotel with very helpful staff. This hotel is 5 minutes walk to the beach and you can catch a small train into Sunny Beach strip. Breakfast was included in the price and we could always fine something to eat. A different variety every day. We also eat there a couple of times in the day and the food was always hot and tasty. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one. We will be back next year.

  Nice family run hotel

  Hotel is situated at the quieter end of Sunny Beach which was perfect for us. Room was spotlessly clean and towels changed every other day, nice balcony. The two cleaners were constantly seen cleaning the hotel and sometimes doubling up on waitressing in the mornings. Breakfast was samey but we always found something to eat. One complaint though- the hot food was only tepid and the baked beans almost cold. We ate several evening meals and they were always cooked well and very tasty. And very reasonable too. Pool was heated but cloudy - I was assured that this was because of the products they used to clean the pool. Plenty of sunbeds available but there were always people reserving them before breakfast. No big deal as we used the beach instead. The toilet near the pool always ran out of toilet paper and soap and the hand dryer didn't always work. The staff were very nice but shout out goes to Yohanna who was always very helpful and ran the extra mile. She brought bacon out to me one morning as I didn't like the sausages which I thought was very kind of her. Overall a nice friendly hotel situated at the quieter end of the beach.

  Bora Bora Nil Points…

  This very clean, conveniently situated hotel with pool, loungers & all mod cons was ideal for our requirements.Breakfast was good with selection of fruit, pastries & fried meats.Food ordered during the day was tasty & cooked to perfection.From the first moments of arrival we were met with what only felt like hostility.There was no friendly greeting which in fairness we put down to it being a culture difference.As the days went on this manner or lack of only worsened.Waiting staff/receptionists were blunt and monosyllabic when they HAD to reply.On our last day tbe shower door in our room came off of its rails shattering into hundreds of pieces cutting my partners forehead hands & feet (lightly thankfully) and when he reported tbis to reception tbe reply was “it’s your last day someone will fix it sometime”.An offer of a plaster/cuppa or a feigned look of worry would have gone a long way but alas he had only my childhood want to be a nurse kicking into action with TLC to lean on..The lovely cleaning lady had the task of sweeping as much of the glass as she could into a little shovel with no one else inspecting the scene for safety?!There’s a lot to be said for the Irish/English panic in case of being sued…and we would at least stick on tbe kettle??????????? Another hotel would have made you pay what's broken. We were trying to be indifferent towards the damage done to our room. Not to any would he mmight have had. That being said, we do have a first aid kit at reception, and if asked we would have provided plaster and othe treating medicines, however observed no woundsWe have guests returning for 12+ years two times/year and noone of them has ever broken a shower door. Yes, it happens once a few years and it's always due to guests' lack of basic care. Thankfully it is a safety glass so you can't get cut. Basically if you don't slam a shower door or lean on it heavily it can't brake by itself. Yes, we might have seemed indifferent and that's because we did not want to cause a scene by attempting to charge you 250+ eur. That's what it costs us, because they don't just sell just spare curved doors.We are still thankful you chose to spend your holiday with us and sad you chose to look upon it from this side and write repeated review.Kind regards

  Hotel itself is in a great location, rooms fine, pool fine, food fine , staff so so rude.From the minute we got there to the minute we left. Last day the shower door dropped off the hinges and shattered. Ended up with a few small cuts on feet and hands. Reported it, all I got was, what room number, you check out today ,we fix.There was no, are you ok ,were sorry.I'm really not "that person", and generally wouldn't care less ,but it was so obvious it became uncomfortable.
