  A lovely stay in Bulgaria. Pleasently surprised

  The hotel was located at the far end of Sunny Beach in a quieter location close to the beach front. The hotel was quiet during the day but there were some pool activities and games to take part in, if you could manage with how cold the pool is. We travelled as a group of friends in couples and ages ranged from mid 40s to late 50s. We are a lively bunch and perhaps the hotel was on the side of too quiet at times. The evening entertainment was OK with kareoke, disco and a quiz but could've been better organised as it started late on occasion. We had fun though and met some nice people from the UK and Germany. The hotel was very clean including our room. Decor was perhaps a bit outdated but the grounds of the hotel were lovely. Our room had a balcony and overlooked the main road although it wasnt noisy at all but to get any sun a pool view room would be better. It isn't a hotel I would suggest if I was asked for somewhere modern but would recommend to customers looking for a quieter location away from the lively centre of Sunny Beach. There were enough sunbeds for the time of year and pool towels were provided. Also had use of a beach area but the all inclusive drinks etc wasnt included here but a lovely location to watch the sunset or relax. Food was very good. Always something to eat and didn't struggle to find anything each day. It was varied throughout the week with themed nights although this was perhaps not particularly obvious besides from posters around the hotel. Maon food was labelled but desserts weren't and I didn't see any allergen information so this is something to be mindful of if you need to avoid certain types of food. Snack bar food was also good and the pizza in particular was always lovely. Drinks were very strong and sometimes it was lost in translation what we wanted to order. I ended up with a malibu and coke one day instead of bacardi and coke and one member of our group was told cocktails weren't available but minutes later my partner ordered me a cocktail with no problem. Tables were cleared quickly but perhaps a little too quickly at times as no sooner as you'd put your cutlery down on your empty plate it would be taken away regardless of if the rest of the table had finished or not. Sometimes it felt a bit intrusive. The hotel wanted us to pay €25 euros per hour for a late check out which we refused due to having an 11.5 hour wait from check out at midday to our pick up time. On the plus side we were allowed to keep our wrist bands so could still get food and drink while we waited. It could be as it was end of season and it does say on the information provided that they usually take it off you at check out.

  Arrived may 18th for 10 nights hotel is excellent spotlessly clean and food is best we have ever had at all invlusive. Staff are so friendly and helpfull if u want all inclusive u wont be dissapointed with this hotel and only a short walk to lovely sandy beach. Also has the strongest drinks of any we have been to wil be back

  Stayed at Hotel Helena Park, Sunny Beach from 16-23/9/26 as a solo female traveller. Early flight out to be able to make the most of the weeks stay. Breezed straight through the airport and customs. On to the coach and we were drop number 8 of 9 - took about an hour in total. Overall hotel nice and clean, staff friendly and hard working. Meals were lovely and plentiful. I am a fussy eater but always found something I liked. Drinks are served by a bar tender - always happy and smiling. Cocktails are limited and beer nicely flowing ??. The rooms are spacious, can look a bit dated but for the amount of time you spend in the room, it’s suitable. Daily room keeping and no problems there. The pool is cold ?? but once you are in, you don’t notice it anymore. DOWNSIDE:- There is the sister hotel next door (Helena Sands - half board) where you can use their gym, sauna, warm indoor pool etc. You have to walk through this hotel to get to the beach. You cannot use their pool or dining facilities. Helena Park is definitely a 4*plus in Jet2’s status. Would have been a 5* if they had their own gym etc and separate beach access. Will I go again? Most definitely YES ????

  Lovely hotel in a quiet location.

  Just back after a 14 night stay ,our first visit. Beautiful hotel with lovely art and statues all over the building. Nice big room but downfall being the over bath shower a walk in shower would be much better considering the average age of clientele (over 50 yrs) whilst we there there. The whole hotel was spotless compliments to the cleaning staff.The food offered was outstanding with a huge choice each mealtime. Drinks were acceptable for all inclusive.Now the downfall ,entertainment was dire. Only one good night being a good singer on our first Saturday. Bulgarian dancers were nice to see for the culture. Everything else was poor. This must be the worst animation team we have encountered on our many holidays, even the Karaoke was spoilt by their lack of ability to operate the equipment even though they do it every week. It didn't spoil our holiday though as we met some nice people to spend our evenings with.All in all a great holiday and would definitely visit the hotel if we go back to Sunny Beach in the future.

  We come every year for the last 4 years . Absolutely fantastic resort , kids love it . Always nice and tidy rooms . Great staff . All I can say real 5 star experience 100% satisfaction, but the diamond of the resort for me personally is chef Yavor . Many thanks looking forward next year again . All the best team .
