  Just back from 10 nights at Helena Sands. Good points: clean hotel, lovely staff very helpful, good hot showers and good choice of food (we had half board). Not so good points: bath too high so made it hard to have a shower, (a few rooms have walk in shower but they all should be like that in my opinion), hairdryer useless (if you have long hair would advise taking your own). Food was always lukewarm at best but mostly cold, although it was tasty.

  Ok let’s do positives first. 1. Got there and some fruit, cheese meat and bread been left in restaurant for us but no drink. 2. Got to room shower in bathtub which was too high for me as disabled mentioned to rep next morning and she said I would have to pay for an accessible room after reception showed me and I said yes they said no charge as I am blind and also use a stick to walk.3. Go out of the gate by the pool right onto the beach sunbeds on left and right of the day beds belong to hotel and lots of them. 4. Lots of sunbeds around the pool with umbrellas so no need to put towels on them early as will always be able to find some.5. Go out of gate at back turn right lots of bars and restaurants my favourite was the Island food bar ate 4 times here and each one was delicious and not overly priced 51€,59€,€90 that was steaks etc45€ 6. The mini train turn left is good I read bad reports on this but get on and can right to the end by flower street or choose to get off at any stop along the way 4€ per person per trip 7. Rooms lovely and large and kept very clean along with the rest of hotel8.   Good location shame about the extras

  Overall very nice hotel with good food and freindly staff. For us very hood location away from main noisy area but close enough to walk or catch mini train beach had s private area for guest free. I would have given 5 stars but I have a few niggles 1 shower in room was poor and leaked through bath screen just a bad design should have had a rainfall head. 2 if you have a hire car you will have to pay for parking 11 euros per night I wasnt informed of this so it was a unwelcome added extra on checkout. 3 outside you holiday package things get expensive if you have a late flight home and want a room extention it will cost 25 euros per hour. Checkout at 12pm so another 6 hours 150 euros If you want an evening meal that another 35 euros each however the snack bar food is good and cheaper and the sauna Spa gym showers are free to use after checkout if I was to return to Bulgaria I would use this hotel again but I wasnt impressed with sunny beach and prefer the greek islands Ilia Mitev, Other at Helena Sands, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your feedback.   Amazing hotel. Beautiful spacious rooms upgraded to a sea view well worth the money. Clean towels daily Breakfast really good so much choice. Only booked on a b&b basis but food so good sometimes paid and had dinner.Plenty of sun beds around a lovely pool and a Sandy beach just out the back entrance. Only criticism is the beach plays loud bass banging music all day which can be heard from the hotel and pool area so I had to wear my ear plugs for the duration of my holiday. Ok if you like loud music but I don’t.
