My family had very bad experiences with HI Imperial Resort hotel Sunny Beach ( Bulgaria) We were put up in an old building off to the side, and the room hadn't been cleaned properly. There was dirt under the bed and dust everywhere. The room wasn't actually cleaned; the only service we got over the entire eight days was having the towels changed. The door to the second room was broken, yet they seemed to think this was perfectly normal. The hotel staff themselves didn't seem to have much interest in doing their jobs. The food was mediocre—the same thing all the time. The only things I liked were the desserts—there was a wide selection—and the soups; otherwise, it wasn't great. The food was cold, the indoor pool was cold, and there was a fee for the sauna. The bus driver smoked. Hardly anyone spoke English, and the weather in late September was bad—it rained every day. Also, a stray dog ??kept running around the hotel grounds in the evenings. I was unhappy with the trip; my vacation was spent at the hotel and was terrible.

Lovely stay at this hotel that had everything we needed . The staff were very friendly and accommodating , the manager Rado is a lovely guy . You can get food pretty much throughout the day and night and the 24 hour bar was a real bonus . The hotel was very clean and lots of pleasant areas to sit . We had a massage at the spa which we highly recommend. Would definitely stay again

Food Good albeit sometimes need to reheat with microwave oven, hospitality of staff really good, room good size, room service good, pools just needing heating as end of season but chilly with winds, drinks ultra package all good, just needs bigger undercover space (colder outside) for end of season lobby not ideal for majority of customers to congregate SPA good, think Sauna should be free if having treatments but overall chilled experience Radomir on reception really good & helpful staff. Just few things for hotel to improve on ??

One of the worst places I’ve ever been to. The food was tasteless and warm at best. Most guests were using the microwave to warm up their meals. Fresh fruit was cut up and left in baskets to go brown and dry! There were no hot plates or hot lamps for the food to sit on or under, basically just a breading area for bacteria! Despite this being an all inclusive hotel, if you have a night flight you are not entitled to an evening meal and the A La Carte is only available if you stay more than 5 days! The hotel needs to do some serious investing in training, equipment and an overall makeover of the dining experience. Other than the staff who cleaned the bedrooms, the staff here are miserable and unhelpful. The staff looked scruffy, walking around in tracksuits. The hotel needs to invest in some uniforms for the staff and some customer service training. Evening entertainment was zero, but the hotel advertised the bar around the corner where guests had to pay for drinks. Guests literally sat around the reception drinking as there was nowhere else to go in the hotel. The bar served drinks in plastic beakers and god forbid someone asked for a glass. Literally spoken to like naughty children! The hotel on the website does look quite nice, but these pictures are old, the hotel is tatty, tired, dirty and scruffy. Serous investment in this hotel is needed. It may have been due to the season we went here, but outside of the hotel most of the shops were closed. The main town consists mainly of gambling shops, sex shops, shops selling tat and cheap and nasty bars. This area needs serious regeneration and investment. Sunny Beach is somewhere I would never visit again in this life time. The world is too beautiful and too big to limit yourself to this experience.

It was incredible—I was there for five days and it was amazing. The people are very well-mannered, the food is excellent, the room is lovely, and the view was incredible. We had great evenings filled with fun and lots of laughter; I would definitely come back ??
