  Great staff poor food

  Nice hotel in a good location but definitely not 4 star

  I'll start this review by saying I stayed in early May when the hotel was barely occupied. I'd estimate there were about 75 guests when I arrived which increased to about 125 by the time I left so this might not be representative of a peak season holiday.Overall, this is a nice hotel in a great location: less than 5 minutes walk from Flower Street and Central Sunny Beach however it's definitely not a 4 star hotel and is a bit dated with very thin walls in the bedrooms and curtains which are anything but blackout ones. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful and the place was constantly being cleaned. The food was varied and wasn't too repetitive apart from veal meatballs of various sizes four days running twice each day however dishes were not labelled apart from generic descriptions: "chicken", "beef", "vegetables" etc and on more than one occasion I'd say meats were mislabled. Cheeses, salads, desserts and cold meats were not labelled at all so they really were a guessing game. Most nights were classed as theme nights however there was very little if anything different that matched the theme. While drinks at the bars were the usual local beer, spirits and draft wine, bottled water isn't provided for rooms with the only option being filling your own bottle from one designated water fountain in the Lobby Bar or buying it from a local shop.On arrival, the minibar in the room has two small bottles of water, two small juice cartons and 2 cans of beer. If you want it restocking there's a charge of €10, again not something I'd expect at a 4 star hotel.   Holiday from hell

  I will start by saying this review is of my personal experience.I stayed at this hotel with my son for 21 nights, at the beginning everything was great but after about 10 days things started going downhill staff being rude security giving my son a hard time and making us feel very uncomfortable so much that we wouldn’t go in the restaurant for our meals so we had to eat out. Then we suffered bed bugs and the minute we complained all hell broke out where the start were claiming it was our fault truth is food cold and under cooked rooms very dirty staff bloody rude dispite evidence showing this no one was interested and it got so bad we decided to leave this badly run dump and head home long before our holiday was due to end. We find it unusual that the first 10–11 days of a 21-night stay were described as enjoyable, with concerns only arising later, including the allegation of bed bugs. We would like to state clearly that there were no bed bugs present. The hotel has a contract with a licensed pest control company and undergoes regular inspections, and no evidence of bed bugs has ever been found, nor have we received similar complaints from other guests during the season. Therefore, the season ended smooth for all guests, in all guest rooms, without the need of any emergency treatments.Our staff and security team act to ensure the safety, comfort, and peaceful environment of all guests and treat everyone with respect.   Its just a good hotel

  We have been visiting Sunny Beach for the last 15 years (approx) lol and spent our first couple years at other hotels but Laguna park was the best not just for us but for the kids too, when we first went there was a small slide in the middle of the pool that was it, over the years the hotel has improved by what i would say 100%, with its aqua slides ect ect. The food is slightly better although I think im beginning to look like chips and onion rings lol. For a person who has visited Laguna park in both the height of the season and the back end I carry on enjoying it, The only let down for Sunny beach is that the shops and restaurants start to close down halfway through September BUT BUT there is still plenty of places to visit. The only complaint I had was The reception staff required a little bit more training in customer service. On arrival we had to remind the girl we was stood at the desk for a reason (to book in) as she kept walking away and talking with someone else, on our second week we complained to the reception that our air condition had turned warm to be told that it had been turn over as customers complained they was cold, ( why didn't the customers turn their air con off in the room ) I explained my husband had been diagnosed with cancer and has had a lot of treatment for this and he uses medication to prevent hot sweats caused by his treatment, The girl shrugged her shoulder and said i could have a fan. the advert for the holiday said air conditioned rooms, But after all of this I would still go back to Laguna Park Please please please Management train your staff ( all staff ) in customer care, you have staff more interested in their mobile phones than serving especially at the bars.People complained this year about reserving their sunbeds before 9am and having their towels removed, all you need to do is stay with your beds till after 9am, People complained about the food not hot enough, mine was OK but if you want there is a microwave next to the toasters you could use, People complained about the lifeguards whistling, well its their job to keep everyone safe, people running , diving, and jumping in the slide pool warrants a whistle, People complained about loud music I only know of the music from the night entertainment that finished at 10pm...not very late is it...What i witnessed in September this year was plenty of children taken out of school to holiday and bear in mind we are 2 hours ahead so 10pm is not that late when realistically it was 8pm....JUST SAYING...lol...all in all Laguna park is one of the best hotels in Sunny beach if you don't think so you want to try Sun Palace...lol now that was an experience. I hope everyone found a good thing about their holiday and I hope going into the Euro coin does not spoil it in January, I hope you all return one day as Laguna is always changing for the best, as for the eye sore of the derelict building opposite, there is no plans as such but if there is I hope it wont become a night club , fair ground or anything that will disturb a stay in Laguna, Ihope I haven't upset any one doing this review, but a bit of criticism is good for business and sole,till the next time have a good oneCraig TATYANA GRUDEVA, Other at Laguna Park & Aqua Club, responded to this review Thanks for the honest and detailed review, Craig!   Went here with my family, hotel is clean with plenty food options for everyone (very repetitive) but I suppose that’s the nature of an all inclusive. Snack bar is the same daily but again kids could all ways eat plus the ice creams helped! Entertainment is worth watching each evening along side the mini disco for the kids. Kids club is a good addition for the kids although mine rathered the pool.Kids pool is great but can be chilly early morning for the kids (kids have to go down the slides alone, no big kids or adults allowed to assist) few reviews mention about the pool staff blowing their whistles but in fairness to them they always had a valid reason. Always able to find a sun lounger. Rooms were cleaned daily and the cleaners were lovely.
