We will never come back and definitely not recommended if you want have a nice holiday.

    rating05 Sept 2026

1 star — “Fabulous” 4-star hotel… if you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience. The hotel itself is honestly horrible. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was unfriendly and the staff seemed to have completely forgotten what hospitality means. Almost everyone we dealt with was rude and unwelcoming. The hotel rooms are old fashioned, carpeted but cleanish. The value of the hotel for the price is unacceptable. The highlight was the hotel bar. We were sitting outside under the hotel’s own covered area, which is part of the hotel, enjoying a drink. We were then rudely questioned by the barman about why we were drinking outside at the “bar”.Where exactly were we supposed to sit? This is essentially the only social area available for guests to sit together and socialise and have a drink.Apparently, at this “4-star” hotel, guests need permission to use the hotel’s own outdoor seating. It is also the only place in the entire hotel that plays any music. Heaven forbid anyone actually tries to relax and enjoy themselves.Food is very basic, greasy and not including children menu. Breakfast was always the same - cold fry eggs was the specialty. Coffee only for breakfast and not available for the rest of the day unless you pay. Not water fountains to top up water- I witnessed people trying to fill the water of bottle and the restaurant staff say it is prohibited which I found it unacceptable. No kettle in the hotel room which we found very weird for 4 star half board hotel. This hotel doesn’t offer any fizzy drinks for either morning or evening meal. For a hotel that proudly calls itself 4-star, the customer service was closer to “please leave us alone” star-rated. We would also like to note the rude and aggressive barman, like the rest of the staff, sit for hours on their phone. On the check out, the receptionist didn’t ask how was our stay was - again uninterested and not paying attention.Would definitely not recommend. The hotel may have 4 stars on paper, but the attitude of the staff certainly doesn’t deserve them.

    Poor

    rating04 Sept 2026

Overall not amazing, and absolutely not a four star hotel in any way. There are worse hotels but I definitely wonder how this hotel justifies its price and star rating. While the rooms are a little outdated, the showers are nice and fast and the beds are fairly OK to sleep on. The showers are actually baths you climb over, incredibly narrow, and constantly fighting a shower curtain that’s trying to stick to you, and not particularly clean. Again not a four star experience. Unfortunately has carpeted floors in the bedrooms which is just absurd in 2026. Just overall not a very modern experience for a four star hotel. We have stopped in better three star hotels in Obzor.Visually the hotel looks great outside but I think it’s substance over form. The staff are, almost entirely, disinterested and at times rude and hostile. When we tried to check in we waited ten minutes as the reception was empty. Their phone number immediately rejects calls so I had to go find someone at the bar to ask if they can find reception staff. No one seemed particularly bothered or concerned. We met one nice cleaner and the other cleaner was just horrible. The receptionists are particularly rude. I’m not one to complain about people using phones but this one receptionist was so glued to her phone she literally couldn’t take her eyes off the screen when we spoke to her, and that was while loud videos were playing on the phone. I asked a question about the pool table and she reacted like I insulted her and stopped replying at all. Totally weird and unprofessional.I also want to give a specific mention to the incredibly rude and aggressive bar staff we experienced. Despite being a four star hotel there is no provided entertainment and the only social seating area happens to be near the outside bar. We was playing a quiet game of cards while talking and the barman marched over questioning us for daring to sit there and do that. There is no where else for the guests to sit, especially as the restaurant is closed most hours of the day. He was rude and kept asking rude questions like where are we from, do we speak English, why are we sitting at “his” bar.The food is quite bad. For breakfast I had a cold fried egg because, despite being an expensive four star hotel, they can’t be bothered to buy any equipment to keep food hot. The only edible food was the hash browns (drowned in oil and over fried) and baked beans. There is exactly one slow toaster that causes queues every time. The evening meal was not much better and the fish was Shark. I wouldn’t consider myself a picky eater but there was simply no redeeming qualities of the food. The breakfast juice machine provides incredibly artificial tasting apple and orange juice. Fittingly for this hotel, it only provides you about half a glass. The pasta looks like it was cooked by someone that had never boiled pasta in their life. There is nothing in the hotel rooms for making drinks. Not even a kettle! Which is just crazy in a half-board hotel. Oh but you can rent one from reception, along with an iron and ironing board! It’s hard to call this anything but a scam. We read a lot of comments online and it seems this is a common tactic of hotels around here, which is why many people buy cheap kettles from the local shop (like Aldo, not Aldi) and then smuggle them into their rooms. The swimming pools are especially “meh”. Visually they look nice but during our stay we notice no one used them except for one or two brave people. The larger pool is clearly broken and they are not maintaining either pools well. The larger pool is freezing cold no matter the time of day. The pumps and filters are not running ever, so the bottom edges of pool is a dark grey colour and it’s hard to see the bottom because of this. I have concerns about the hygiene and safety of the pools based on this. The sun umbrellas around the pool are also broken and fall over all the time.

    Not good

    rating13 Aug 2026

The hotel is very clean and tidy and well presentedWe went half board and the food is generally pretty poorBreakfast is greasy and undercooked for our liking although plenty of fruit if you want itWe tried multiple times to find something for the evening meal but it was just not very appetising, most of it looked liked mushed up meat of some kind and smelt disgustingWe never actually had a full evening meal and had to eat out at the restaurant next to the hotel which was fantastic and great valueThe vast majority of the staff are miserable and grunt at you. Except the cleaning ladies who are very friendly and a blonde lady on the main desk when we arrivedFrom day one we had no air conditioning in the room and it was unbearable. The manager promised to fix it or he would give us another room. He said this 3 times before we had enough of him telling lies and fobbing us off We contacted our holiday rep who got us moved to a room with working air conThe lifts in both buildings broke down regularly while we were thereThe pools are average and a bit small. Not enough sun loungers which isn’t unusual and a life guard that spends all day on his phone or asleepThe location is good with the water park and the beach and main shopping area less than 15mins walkOverall not a great place to stay on a family holiday. A lot better hotels in the area

We will not be returning to this hotel!!

    rating06 Jul 2026

Just been for 9 nights. Arrived early hours in morning and reception gave us a little snack bag when we checked in which we thought was a lovely gesture and nice way to start the holiday. We got to the room which was also not that bad and the whole place is kept clean but that is pretty much where the good ends. None of the staff other than the barman and the cleaner spoke to you or smiled. The staff in the restaurant never smiled or spoke to us once other than one member of staff who spoke to complain about me filling a 500ml water bottle up bare in mind we were half board so drinks at meal times were included but only from the small glasses they provide. They even then put out a sign to say no filling water bottles up and she spoke to the staff to tell them to make sure i did not fill it up as they watched me as I moved around. The food well I do not even know where to start with the food. Very poor selection so if you are a picky eater definitely do not go. It was pretty much the same every night, there was some form of pork and chicken with veg, chips, pizza and pasta and that's it. Nothing really had any flavour to it. We ate out some nights just to have a decent meal. Drinks included at meal times did not include any fizzy drinks just pure juice and hot drinks in a morning which is fine, then pure juice, beer or wine on a evening. We went out of UK school holiday time yet some of the days we could not get a sun lounger round the pool.

Good hotel spoiled by ignorant clients.

    rating07 Jun 2026

This hotel was a real enigma, pros and cons.Pros first. It is a nice hotel. It is kept immaculate inside and out. The staff are very friendly and incredibly efficient, especially in the restuarant. They cleared the table very quickly, sometimes too quickly and replenished food quickly. The half board plus, included wine and beer on tap. The room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We had emailed the hotel in advance for a low floor as my wife connot use lifts and climbing many flights of stairs a difficulty and we were well pleased to have a low floor. Thanks. The bathrrom had a bath with a shower over it, the shower itself was great, very powerful leaving you with a great wash. There are two pools with a kiddies pool in each. The Hotel is located about 5 to 10mmins walk from the beach and the beach road, and anout 20mins walk tom the resort centre of flower street. There are taxi ranks and bys stops close by.Cons: The food was at times cold, and one night the pork was as tough as old boots, also the evening meal had a salad bar, but there was no cold meat with it. I passed these comments to the Maitre D. There is only one bar, which is oiutside and was not usable two nights of our stay because of the weather. The Bases for the pool umbrellas were in some cases not filled with either sand or water, consequently they blew over with the slighest of breezes. This could be dangerous, especially if it landed on a client. One of the issues that really grated on us, and this is not the fault of the Hotel, was that the bulk of the clienst were non Brits. These people were arrogant and extremely rude. The would push past you or in front of you in theirm rushb to get soemwhere, seldom did the answer a "Good Morning" or similar greeting, which they could have done even if it was in there own language. They gave the imnpression that they were looking down their noses at you, which was ironic given that they were bereft of manners. All in all it is a good hotel, well run, with really nice staff. However we are unlikely to return here as we would like to be closer to the resort centre, due to increasing walking difficulties.
